slow cooker carnitas is better. crisp it up under the broiler after shredding. pulled pork is locked into one thing as soon as you bbq it so I'd rather have a carnitas base and i can add bbq sauce to it for one serving if i get the hankering.

Immersion blend the peppers after for the sauce
So tasty. Best if the pork has large chunks remaining

It takes like 5 hours to get a quarter filled pot of stew to temperature. Buy the cheapest induction hotplate and a dutch oven instead, they're fucking trash with an easy bake oven heating element

I leave my house for 14 hours and then come back to food, I don't really care how long it takes it heat up. If you want food done fast there are ways to do that. A slow cooker is not designed for those scenarios. The power draw being low also prevents house fires since it's intended to be running when you aren't present.
