You're not crazy — this is a well-documented phenomenon called shrinkflation, where products get smaller while prices stay the same (or increase).
KitKat has gone through several size reductions over the years. In the UK, for example, the four-finger KitKat shrank from around 49g to 45g, and then further reductions followed. Similar changes happened in other markets. Nestlé (and Hershey in the US) have quietly trimmed the bars multiple times over the decades.
