Oh yeah, I saw that. It's coming out on the 28th.
Although I love Gumball, it started to decline in quality after Season 4 or so because they kept trying to appeal to zoomers and internet culture. For the example, in the sixth season, Mr. Robinson literally gets told to "act like a millennial" to impress the boys - they very obviously started to run out of organically funny ideas and began to rely on referential comedy. The show got cancelled before it became *truly* terrible, but you could definitely see where it was going. I really hope that the writers have developed interesting ideas in these years that have passed, but Cartoon Network shows don't really have a track record of having good reboots.
I would've been okay with the bleak ending of everyone falling into the void and dying, to be honest. It's kind of funny in a black, deadpan way. I worry that the rebooted season will tarnish the show's reputation by being bad.
That being said, I'm cautiously optimistic. It could be really enjoyable if written well. I guess we'll see what happens.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts. They're kind of stuck in an uncomfortable middle ground between the two types of character. I'm hoping theyll find their footing in Season 2.
I really disliked the fact that he has a deep adult voice - it would've been way funnier if he had a high-pitched shota voice, since the contrast between that and the evil demonic things he does would've been interesting.
Still though, it was enjoyable as a whole. It's certainly better than most other adult cartoons coming out now. I'm looking forward to whatever comes in the future.

I would say so for season 1. They only have 3 focus episodes but they're among the better ones in the show and they appear in most episodes and have some cute moments scattered throughout, even as background characters, which made it an easy watch. I don't recommend watching season 2.

A mix of the first two. They dumbed down and flanderized the protagonist in S2 and now have most conflicts caused by her being stupid, rushed the plot lines and only continued two loose ends from S1 at the very end.
Manta and Shino appear but Manta has a less cute design, gets involved in a romantic sideplot and because of the location change there's more episodes where they don't appear, especially Shino.

Lottie was a young teenager who was groomed by one of those Discord com retards into doing edgelord shit. She made loli OCs inspired by shovel dog/cat blender, made jokes about child porn and racial minorities, moefied school shooters.... Just superficial edgy stuff. I don't think it's fair to call her. A pedophile, since she was an underage grooming victim, and didn't get involved with real child porn, as far as I know. Eventually, she was doxxed and her parents were notified of her internet doings, which led to her losing internet access for a while. She's back now, and she's been looking to move past that edgelord stuff, but people keep bringing up her loli and whatnot, so she doesn't keep much of a public online presence.
I feel bad for her, desu. She's a talented artist, but her reputation has been totally tarnished because she became efamous before she was able to mature out of edgelordisms. She drew a lot of great /co/ stuff, too... A shame.

Those "com" Discords I mentioned are overwhelmingly comprised of 12-16 year old boys, with girls like Lottie being outliers.
