The continuation work of that fic (Cache by the same author) is also interesting. But this one is on Alastor pov, it's /slightly/ less "silence" and still ongoing. Worth the read though.

The tag (something like "Vox one-sided psychosexual obsession" or so, it is in the shared fic) allegedly has fics with a stronger radioSILENCE dynamic so you might want to try there. The one shared is a personal favorite, I haven't read one as good as this one yet (the emotional devastation of that one and how much the reader is invited to empathize with Vox hits it with me. If that's what you're looking for, good luck. Feel free to share your findings with that tone too).

I've found this one also interesting, but it's very much a dead dove (cannibalism, gore and sex take place at the same time). The catch on this one is that it's quite canon divergent and the different power dynamics were not absolutely my cup of tea. Read tags to see if it might be your thing: "once bitten, back for more", by princeliest (https://archiveofourown.org/works/55536184)

Same author also has a series called 6.66 live on air that is not as unrequited, but has an Alastor with very low empathy and is often repulsed by Vox. Much lighter works than the previous share, even though same author.

This. An RS artist I really like explained why she ships that but not RA and the basic difference is that they feel Alastor being desired in a ship rather than desiring someone else (which is how RA is always portrayed) is more true to his asexuality. As an asexual person myself, I agree. He should never, ever end up with anyone, even just disregarding the ace aspect, as he has always seemed "above" that nonsense. I don't know what Viv is thinking, but if it was always planned to make RA canon then it makes the forced "enemies to lovers" angle she's going for even more labored. It never made any sense why they hate each other and always felt redundant to me as we already have a rivalry between Vox and Alastor. And you can absolutely tell the one between the latter was thought out, considering Vox was initially made to be Alastor's rival and thematically it's more interesting. Whereas the one between Lucifer and Alastor feels like a last minute addition in a weak attempt to "spice" things up (which makes sense considering all the OG sketches she doodled of them had them as friends). The reasoning for why Alastor and Lucifer hate each other is also repetitive ("they're too similar and have high egos") since the same reasoning can be applied to Vox and Alastor.
I'm rambling, but regardless, this is such a shit decision and I fear greatly for Alastor's character. I love shipping him around in fanon, but that's where all his ships should stay.

You're not really contributing financially to Viv. As an avid fanfic reader and radiostatic enjoyer, I know I'm biased, but fan works are kinda their own little bubble. If you don't want to write, ofc you shouldn't, I just suggest to not allow Twitter discourse to be the thing to make or break something you like.

Honestly what I hate the most is that show's creative creators insist in interacting with fandom in places like Twitter or TikTok, where they're famously trash. They should shut up and do their thing without that much untrustworthy external input. Talk in interviews, hire someone to manage your socials for the marketing and be at peace.

I don’t think all ra shippers are evil but I’ve had some bad encounters with ones being assholes so at this point I avoid them unless they’re multishippers. The ones I’ve seen that harass others tend to only ship Alastor with Lucifer and dislike seeing him shipped with any other character.

Do you care about which one tops or bottoms? For me it’s more about keeping it in character than anything but the only way I see Alastor topping is using it as a means to control Vox rather than being horny himself. Like he knows Vox wants to fuck him but doesn’t want to touch him so he just uses one of his tentacles to penetrate Vox while he reads the newspaper not interested. Normally I prefer Vox topping because it’s easier to keep it in character that way and Vox bottoming to Al only works in very specific scenarios not many can pull off.

I’m sort of burnt out of the fandom right now. I think it’s less my interest waning naturally and more a lot of negativity and bad interactions making me want to step out.
