This is great! I've had the general image of her working out in my head for a long time, and it's really nice to see it put to paper. She looks so good in that clothes, and comes off so strong and confident. Loving her thicc arms and legs too.

She's my main Hilda waifu and I always feel like I'm one of few and that she doesn't get enough love, so granted reqs for her are extra meaningful to me.

A lot of these earlier posted pictures of the characters with real and well-detailed guns really gives me some ideas. Like Gerda training at the shooting range perhaps with a Walther PP or Lahti L-35. Or her in a full TSP dress uniform (something fancy and Euro-inspired, think Bersaglieri or Polish dress uniforms with the cap feathers and cape-coats), wearing something like an 1811 Prussian 'Blucher' saber and perhaps formally receiving her promotion to Chief Ranger. All weapons that I think would be very fitting for her/the Hilda universe. But the thing is only so many artists can draw firearms and such really well.

What was the thought behind the white owl(?) tat? My assumption at least is the fact that she has white hair and an owl could be seen as a symbol meaning 'always on-watch' or representative of a 'night watch' (for trolls) or something, and that's the role she fulfills as Chief Ranger.

Well very good assumption and partially correct! Although that is not an owl. That is actually a Gutten Nachtkrapp, a good version of a folklore bird from her land. The Nachtkrapp is am ill fated raven with sockets for its eyes and wings full of those eyes. People who see the raven's eye die a horrible death and those who see its wings fall ill. It's said to snatch children off of their windows at night and feast upon them on its nest, and in my AU, is the symbol and pets of the Marra and the Alps.

The Gutten Nachtkrapp is the good version of this bird and is said to sing children to sleep and bring them good dreams. Is the symbol and pets of the sandmen and sandwomen. Marras and Alps fear them. Gerda has one for... a special reason XD but also has the same meaning as your assumption of being a night watch and protector.

I'm not even sure how often I see Hilda fanart of OC folk creatures as opposed to people. Actually sounds like the kind of creature and lore that would be in the Hildaverse. Nice to encounter an AU that's well above par on-brand and feasible.

Well I am one of those people XD I have a literal encyclopedia for all of my AU's critters, places, people and legends. From the more than 60 Valkyries, to the strongest of witches, to Giants olf Old to gods and Deities (which are different than gods). Spirits and creatures that are mostly from Anglo-Germanic and Nordic mythology and folklore, but also with some critters from other regions such as other parts of Europe like Greece, Celtics, Lusos etc
