From what I've read, it sounds like people are discovering the tokenization count is way down, and a lot of the style selectors adds tons of word spam to get the styles to show. So now you might need to review the full prompt and make it more concise since they're saying the back-end is basically going to ignore everything after it hits that limit. Talking like 256 tokens, so keep your prompt under 300 words or so.

I've noticed some prompts look just fine still, then others even the same artstyle it falls apart, some start to remind me of the "fried" era and others seem to be going through through their filter more where it looks totally different than the prompt would have looked even last week.

I don't mean to be an alarmist but after looking at what everyone else has been reporting and then seeing for myself how my old prompts hold up I do believe that we may be in a second 'deep fry' period.

While the last one just half baked everything and screwed up art styles it was at least producing images. This time around I have even noticed a sudden drop in 4 at a time gens and the filter has gotten way way more severe. On top of that many of my old prompts are not acting as they once did and a lot of my art styles aren't working properly either.

Another thing to consider is that OpenAI just reported a yearly loss of a few billion dollars for 2025. I would not be surprised if image generation is one of the first things that they go for to try to reduce their operating costs. This truly might be the beginning of the final plunge of DallE.


It was an honor to shitpost with you all. I just wish we could get a clientside version of OG DallE.

Yeah it was funny everything , for me, was fine on Sunday, then Monday things started looking like garbage in some cases, tried the cookies thing because this happened before last year, but that didn't work. it does feel like they are making adjustments to the Bing image generator, going down to 1 image per gen is a maddening level of slow-down. and I think I've noticed an increase in flubs (extra fingers, awkward arms, that sort of thing)

hopefully those are just glitches they will figure out, like the last time it got deep-fried but eventually corrected itself.

I'm about to get hit by the same storm but since I work blue collar we won't get work as to wether or not we have work on Monday until Sunday night. The forecasting has been super inconsistent as well. Some sources say that may area will only get a few inches, most say about a foot, and some are saying 18 inches or more.

Also old gen cause Dall-E is kill. I would not be surprised if it's a repeat of the whole PR16 nonsense that we had last year.

I'm actually with you there. If nobody else was on the road, especially back when in my first car. I vaguely remember a video on Youtube years back after one of Boston's huge blizzards where a couple guys were hooning it in, I think, a Porsche 911 GT3 and and Aston Martin Vantage? trying to work out a prompt atm which is going... so-so

the idea was to figure out a way to get it to do the 'midpoint' of any two given source characters, so try its best to average out every visual aspect of both characters to its average, so if it's a pixar style character and live action, it would level out as more realistic cgi, if one has short curly grey hair and the other has long black straight hair they'd get medium-length dark-grey wavy hair etc
and I think I actually have cracked it
but it turns out, the outputs from these don't actually end up looking anything like either character
like if I look at individual aspects of this guy, I can actually make an argument for how it is a midpoint for the two (I wouldn't say it's perfect, just that I can make the argument)
it just doesn't look anything like either of them
so it's not actually that interesting
might try to rework it into making an amalgamation of the two characters, not a cursed frankenstein mess like before but actually try to make it look like a character who could exist

DALL-E 3 on Bing is niche now at best for legacy users, I can still find use in. Its GPT 4.0 is good and uses the older model but they got a chokehold on copyrighted characters. SORA is still really fucking good but this original style is shitty but still has character recognition.

Nanobanana has its promises but it also has a "style" like SORA, but will work with image references and is pretty good, but not out of the box. The rabbit hole for services where you gotta use loras and whatnot (also how they are crushing down on NSFW art which was the whole point) .

The walls are closing in, and its probably why no one wants to leave their comfort zone anymore.

Sora always had the piss filter but could still play with styles. DALL-E normally gave you varied styles without trying. But now SORA is just stuck in a default style if its not specified and will ignore source material styles
