Autobots I'd say Prowl, Jazz, Optimus (possibly my favorite character. i love how he grew into a leader as the show progressed), Bee, Sentinel, Ratchet. Really the entire Autobot crew let's be real
Decepticons I'd say Megatron hands down. Corey Burton knocked it out of the park i didn't even recognize it was him at first. Cunning, intimidating, manipulative. That isn't to say I didn't like the other cons, i love Lugnut and Blitzwing and BA and Screamer. Lockdown was extremely cool. But this may be my favorite Megatron depiction
Humans now, and yes I liked the human cast, i'd say Fanzone, Sari, and Meltdown. I love Peter Stromare and he just hams it up as Meltdown

S1 is tied between the three-parter, Megatron Rising, and Along Came a Spider. Lockdown's debut episode was cool too. I was actually surprised at how many characters were introduced in S1. Lockdown, the Dinobots, Soundwave, Headmaster, Black Arachnia's episode. For some reason i remembered those being in S2. But i was pleasantly wrong
S2 Return of Headmaster is hilarious. Garbage In with Wreck gar is a joy. Fistful of Energon and the Constructicons debut are great. And I love Autobot Academy
S3? All of it. Human Error is now my go-to Christmas special. but S3 is back to back 10/10s for me. Plus more Swindle is always welcomed
Honestly i just love TFA. The lore, the characters, everything. Yes even the humans

Funny enough after i finished I went to the TFwiki to read more about S4. Knowing that we missed out on an ACTUAL depiction of Shattered Glass made me so sadbecause that would've been awesome. And just learning about how and where S4 was going to head makes me wish it never got cancelled. This may be one of my favorite depictions of these characters
For me though, the most unfortunate part about my love for TFA is knowing I'll never be able to get even half the merch that was around. i used to have the Optimus/Megatron set that came with the first 3 episodes on a disk when i was younger but that's long gone now. And man I'd actually pay money for the Allspark Almanac. I'll give that a watch though! Thanks!

it's made me want to pick up collecting. It may not be the same as they were before, we've definitely come a long way. And we can't relive the past. But it'd be nice to build up a collection of figures. Plus I can get all my favorite characters this time
Considering the engineering of some of the animated figures back then (and the black magic on how they managed to capture the artstyle almost perfectly) it's insane to me they never released this even now. Heck, it's interesting to me how they've never did a triple changer Megatron often. I'd pay ridiculous amounts of money of Hasbro or even a third party released this. Him being both a tank and a jet is so cool

I think Hasbro likes to focus on molds that are easy to reuse to save on costs, so Animated's uniqueness is kinda a double-edged sword. That, and maybe it's much easier to keep banking on G1 nostalgia.

And yeah. I think only Cybertron Megs was a triple changer (though he was a jet and a car). Personally my only gripe is the loss of his helicopter alt mode. I'd much prefer that and a tank over a jet and a tank, but I understand if it was way too hard to do

Yeah it seems Hasbro is fully focused on G1 nostalgia at the moment. Which I mean, i understand that. But i'd love to see a resurgence of Animated figures. Unfortunately like you said, its unique artstyle is a double-edged sword. Now that you mention it, i agree. I absolutely loved the helicoptor mode. it's just so uniquely different from his usual modes, which in hindsight are usually either jets or tanks. it really differentiates him from the usual Megs

I guess the loss of helicopter alt could be symbolic of Megs' mental degradation when he'd turned into a triple changer. He no longer has any patience, wanting to advance his plan as fast (symbolized by the jet) and as direct (symbolized by the tank) as possible. But that could just be me reaching

I'm pretty sure did, if I'm remembering correctly: in the Trial of Megatron, once his escape plan is under way, he starts throwing his fellow Decepticons into a reactor to give it enough power to get to Earth (with the possible exception of Lugnut, who may or may not willing throw himself in depending on the draft). The triple changer process may have made it worse, but he had lost it before then

I watched bits of S1 and 2 as they aired back in the 2000s but it never really left an impact for some reason, I don't think I even comprehended that it was the same franchise as the Bay movies.
I rewatched it last year and really liked it. I still think I enjoy Beast Wars more, but only slightly. TFA has superior plot and much better world-building though, which really carries it for me. I also think it was interesting/cool that they bucked the usual Transformers show trend of having the story fall apart by the third season and instead managed to keep everything tight and compelling, makes the cancellation all the more tragic to be honest
