If you are genning local and interested in a new model give Anima a shot. https://huggingface.co/circlestone-labs/Anima
It's a whole new modern model and an upgrade over whichever Pony/Illustrious/Noob checkpoint you are using.
That's all, I won't spam unprompted paragraphs about it anymore, don't worry.
>>

Moving further and further away from the original source in this image but still like the result. Weird how grok hates camera control in original prompts but it far more willing to do it in edits.

Also "skin is shiny from sun oil" is a great way of doing a wet skin (without any huge water drops) look that doesn't affect the risk of the image

It has some deviantart training data, so it's more knowledgeable about /co/ characters than you would typically expect from a small booru model.
Don't expect it to know super obscure characters though.
Also one thing I noticed is that sometimes it would clearly know a character, but get confused about a small detail (hair color, outfit, etc.) depending on the rest of the prompt. So mentioning whatever is missing also helps.

Most recently it was noted that the amount of tokens it loaded from the prompt was cut (from 512 to 256) which would semi-equivalent of functionally ignoring the ends of longer prompts (after rthe 250-300 word area), and negatives stopped being followed, and some folks were noting or assuming the model switched again from a Flux.1 Schnell / Chroma model to Flux.2 Klein.

>>
>>
>>152365335
Just the underlying image model that is processing your prompt. I don't know first-hand but if I believe what people were saying on Perchance discussions, the Flux Schnell-based model is stye last, so most of the style selectors on the gen pages put their style descriptions after your prompt, while Fiux Klein is style first, which means it may not be following style guidance as closely anymore. You can always gen an image, then look at the completely image prompt which has the style language inserted then copy that out and move the style language to the front of your prompt and pick No Style in whatever your favorite gen page is.
>It's STILL so superior to Dall-E
I personally wouldn't go that far, but it certainly has a good use-case given some of the limitations imposed on Dall-E. Certain things Dall-E is just good at in spite of Microsoft.

I selected "Oil painting-Realism" and "90s superhero". It translated that into;

breathtaking oil painting, [my prompt] Oil painting -- realism. 90s superhero., photorealistic oil painting, by charlie bowater, fine details, by wlop, trending on artstation, very detailed [my prompt repeated, exactly] Oil painting -- realism. 90s superhero., (90s comic book artwork), colored comic book panel, classic 90s style, masterpiece, art by Greg Capullo, art by Jim Lee, art by Todd McFarlane

So the additions are BEFORE and AFTER.

I got some beautiful images out of Dall-E --- last year.
Maybe it still produces good work, but most of the time I get a dog or a warning, Despite quite innocuous prompts. And it never explains what it doesn't like.
I became frustrated and essentially gave up Oct 13, 2025. That 's the last file I saved. No idea what changed then.

There aren't too many Barts images in danbooru and considerably more of Daisy. Unsurprising result. Would need a lora for Bart.
>this is the first local model that seems to be decent at boomer prompting
Actually there have been a lot of such models, ever since Flux 1 released in 2024, but this is the first local model that is decent at boomer prompting and knows a lot of /co/ (and /a/, /v/, NSFW, and a lot of other stuff).
>>
>>152377353
so, the question is, are loras going to weaken the model like they do for all the SDXL-derived ones?
>>
>>152377396
Obviously base model itself directly having the knowledge of a thing is the most preferable option.
And I haven't trained any yet (I don't think any major trainer has implemented support neither) but I would guess no, at least not as severely, if trained properly (Large enough dataset, tagged properly, sufficient regularization during training, etc.).
The text encoder inside of it is much smarter than that of SDXL's, should allow for better concept separation and less overwriting model's knowledge of random shit. Flow matching over eps/v-pred should also result in better learning.
That being said most of the loras you would come across are trained in either very mediocre or garbage methods. Sadly I don't expect it to change for this model. Lora scene went down to the shitter a year or so imo. Everyone just spams low effort crap now.

>>
>>152377495
well the loras I'm used to seeing for the SDXL-Pony-Illustrious-NoobAI-StableMond hierarchy:
>great for 1girl/1boy
>might work if paired with someone the base model already knows about.
>if you combine two characters, best case scenario is the style bleeds over. i.e. if you pair a Simpsons character with a Family Guy character, both characters get Family-Guy-style eyes and Simpson mouths.
>Grok, with its river-draining massive model, makes the same mistake, so maybe it's just an unsolved problem.
>each character has a different custom token that's a misspelling of the name; you have to memorize them if you use ComfyUI
>some of them use the real name, seem to work about the same

but what frustrates me the most is, as you stray from the base model, the modified model starts to forget a little more of what it learned from actual reference photographs and other unrelated media, and imagines a world closer to what it looks like in fan art. So if you want to create porn to goon to, great. But you're less likely to get surprised by cool results and details, or be able to insert random details without over-explaining them in the prompt. that's the fun I remember having on DALL-E 3.

>>
the base Qwen model confuses Bart Simpson and Homer Simpson too. what's its excuse
>>
>>
>>152377740
Yes it's not fully trained.
It has went through the entirety of low resolution epochs (where the model learns most of its fundamental knowledge) but few high resolution steps (where the model learns to do finer details)
In this context it's very unlikely that it will learn Bart in the final version unless they supplement the dataset. (Again unlikely, usually you do the opposite if you are going to change dataset halfway and prune some of the data since higher resolution steps are more time consuming and expensive). Though other aspects like details, hands/limbs and text will likely improve.
>>
>>152377912
Qwen is just bad about character/person knowledge in general.
They might have asked whatever vLLM they were using to caption the images (likely Gemini) not to tag real people and copyrighted characters. Likely out of legal concerns.
That would be my theory.
>>

>great for 1girl/1boy
Character loras are the simplest to train.
>if you combine two characters, best case scenario is the style bleeds over. i.e. if you pair a Simpsons character with a Family Guy character, both characters get Family-Guy-style eyes and Simpson mouths.
Yes SDXL is horrendous for tag bleeding between different concepts, loras only make it worse.
This might work better here, due to what I mentioned before, but hard to tell by how much.
>Grok, with its river-draining massive model, makes the same mistake, so maybe it's just an unsolved problem.
No clue. Mystery box proprietary model, no one besides xAI knows how it works.
>each character has a different custom token that's a misspelling of the name; you have to memorize them if you use ComfyUI
>some of them use the real name, seem to work about the same
This is about training, not inference. Gibberish name results in faster training because the model is not held back by its underbaked and incorrect knowledge of the character (likely has some unless the character is super obscure.)
Your last paragraph is more difficult to explain than I currently have energy and interest in doing so, but the gist of it is that creativity and quality/coherency are inversely correlated. Anything released 2024 or newer just kills the former in exchange for latter.

original bartposter here. I deleted my gens directory so I'd waste less time here, and waste more time elsewhere. it worked a bit.

now if I want to look at them I have to go on desuarchive and look for 1024x1024 images. I forgot that they all came out in this plastic 3d style that doesn't match anything, and there were certain off-model things that I just accepted like when Bart's pupils get huge.

thanks for saving my gen, >>152356300 -- by filename, even.

It's absolutely perfect (and Homer being cross-eyed nails it.)

this one's my favorite. it even got the name badge right.

though, it gave Daisy Donald's collar, and gave her Stay-Puft marshmallow legs

I just noticed that, good thing I sort my stored downloads by date, by name it would be a mess under C. I kind of like the date thing though.

Hailou allows you to make more pictures after some time, or you have to pay after running out all your free credits?
>>

>>152383415
once you run out you have to pay I believe
