It is very hard to say. Josh is a parks guy, and even following them I have a hard time reading him because his job is to smile and implement unpopular policies decided by Iger and the board. It is unclear what creative decisions he has.
It makes sense since parks are the revenue generator now and outperforming the other departments, but that makes him a complete wildcard for film and animation since he never worked in that department. D23 is when we will get a better grasp of what he really thinks (for new projects, not things already approved under Iger)

TS5 while as unnecesary as the fourth one, at least has a good director. Besides, I think it's pretty fair to say that online sentiment does not translate to general audiences. Autists like us can go on and on over how TS4 was bad and went against the characters, but people who just watch a movie and don't think too much about it (ie. most of the people who watch a movie) saw it, enjoyed it and moved on.
About Frozen, I've heard the second one had a troubled production which affected the final product, so luckily they ran things more smoothly this time.

Insider here, apparently Walden will promote the Disney Branded TV lady Ayo Davis as Disney Entertaiment's next lead with the Disney TVA CEO taking Davis role.
DTVA CEO will be given to Doug Bensimon who has been at the studio for 20 years. his promotion will be on the summer.

Toy Story 5 at least has a good director that is Andrew Stanton, Frozen II and Wish troubled production proves that Jennifer Lee's sucess was beacuse she had Lasseter and Howard at supervisors.
With Bush being his new leader he will likely force her to not mess with the production,

Largely yes, main difference is D’amaro will be the boss of Walden, so while she will have plenty of control with staffing, day to day working with talent, what gets approved, etc, he can have final say on a lot of things. Especially major stuff like what films and sequels they are making

Wut? if true... can you really blame him

It feels weird to know that I said hi to him during his time as Chairman at Disney Parks during the 50th, and now he is the next era for Disney. Wonder if he going to backtrack on any Iger decisions, or have anything planned in mind.

Josh is the shareholder-friendly choice.
>>152364442
Dana is more business oriented. Most of the stuff I've read about her talk about the brands she manages and what corporate strategies she's implemented in the company. I don't know if she's ever worked on a movie or tv show.

>Deadline has confirmed that as part of Walden’s new role, her former co-Disney Entertainment co-chairman Alan Bergman will now report to her, while all other major leaders under the film umbrella will continue to report to Bergman. That list includes Disney live-action and 20th Century chief David Greenbaum and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Apart from Lucasfilm, it doesn't seem to be any major change in their other film divisions, so make take from that what you will.

Lee will still fuck it up as both director and writer.
There hasn't been shit released on Hexed and that comes out in ten months. Maybe Disney's gone all-in on AI now and are pushing out animated movies as smooth as play-doh?

>Toy Story 5 at least has a good director that is Andrew Stanton
I watched his latest film at Sundance last week and it was genuinely awful. To be fair, it’s mostly because of the weak script (which he didn’t write), but as someone who already wasn’t big on Finding Dory it gave me worry for TS5. The new sequel is all about AI and the internet’s influence on kids, and the single biggest issue with In the Blink of an Eye was how dated its ideas were. Not to mention Stanton has done plenty of mediocre television. I’m hoping for a miracle, but I think it’s likely he’ll be going through the motions for Toy Story.

Who cares? Disney is still going to continue making shit.
The real problem however is when said shit sells wonderful like Moana 2, Inside Out 2, Zootopia 2, Mufasa, etc. The real blame ultimately goes to the RETARDED addicted junkie customer. I genuinely wish the worst things to happen to Disney Adults maybe their children should be molested. I hate Disney Adults to that extreme. Disney keeps making garbage and cashing out excellently because humans are disgustingly stupid.
>>
>>152374615
Not even close. Will become more subtle but its still going to be a thing and since humans are fucking stupid they never notice. For example Zootopia 2 look at how many retards can't tell the obvious diversity multiculturalism message that shitty movie has. Same to the first Zootopia. Humans are FUCKING STUPID! They can never tell when they are seeing Leftist Jewish funded agendas.

So just... going back to how things were before the 2010's? Hollywood has ALWAYS been left leaning, difference was that they didn't seek to appear performative to please the social media crowd while doing so. Star Wars, for example, from the very first movie was a boomer left wing fantasy.
Though you do have to be genuinely stupid not to notice Zootopia's messaging.

No dumbass it was an Streisand Effect
>MAGAtards seethe at Kimmel and threaten to cancel their D+ subs
>Dana Walden and Bob Iger panick and suspend Kimmel
>Everyone agrees it was shit and decide to boycott the company and it works unlike the Palestine activist who told people to not see Inside Out 2, Deadpool and Wolverine or not to buy The Book of Bill and The Art Of Amphibia
>Walden and Iger reverse their decision
