And then it was over. In what capacity? Bow has a back and forth relationship on whose guiding who with Andora and Glimmer and King Micah is nothing but confident except when it comes to his worries about interactions with Glimmer. Are we counting Hordak in the evil camp or goober camp? Isn't the show full of goobers?

How certain can you be on that being the reason why instead of an innate interest in those kinds of relationships in fiction? You do have a point on their relationship rewarding abusers I've tried to engage honestly with that debate only to find I have too much fun with the characters as is to care.

Only one character didn't get a dignified redemption and that's Prime. Hordak got the same treatment as Catra and Shadow Weaver in the end.

My dude, you are not talking to someone discussing things with you in good faith. If you want to post pictures from the show or talk about who was Best Girl, you can do that on /co/. But serious discussions? I honestly think that her contributions are overblown. People like to imagine these shows are all the brainchild of one personality but the truth is there were probably 10 to 20 people working on the show responsible for things people like that nobody will ever acknowledge because the only thing anyone ever wants to talk about is the creator who is Very Loud On Twitter.

The fact that Stevenson hasn't created anything of note since only reinforces this belief of mine. This isn't a Lauren Faust situation.

As stupid as the Sow controversy was and as insane and unjustified as the outrage was, I find it hard to be sympathetic to the show's staff since it wouldn't have happened if they hadn't race-swapped Bow. They brought it on themselves.

nobody outside of /co/ gives a shit about this show at all.

The show really needed either a trim of everything that wasnt Adora/Catra/SW storyline or expanding to include a lot more about the war and the specifics of it. As it is, the show tries to do some middle ground and it ends up making it like the conflict is small and nigh inconsequential but the cast is also bloated with a bunch of characters who dont matter and dont add anything at all, like most of the princesses. Also, the final season adding Hordak prime kinda ruins the whole set up for the war even if it has some of the best scenes and character arcs of all the show.
The first two seasons have way too many self contained episodes and childish lesson of the day stories that make the series seem for little babies and it gets really going way too late. The overall pacing is also destroyed by a way too short third season.
