Until Christopher Lloyd dies, yes.
>>
>>152373272
I never got the gist of whether humans do or don't exist in Cyberspace, because apparently the guy on the left is a cyborg, and I have no deal what's the nerd on the right's deal is.
>>
>PBS kids is still a thing

This had to have been approved before Trump said "say goodbye to all your free money. lol. lmao even."
>>
>>152373272
wait if this was still going all this time how is it only season 16, I know it's been a fair bit more than 16 years
>>
>>152373272
Wait a fuck. Who's the nerd in green?
>>
>>152373272
>>
>>152373462
Long breaks between seasons.
>>
>>152373272
This show stopped being about math like 10 or 11 years ago
>>
COSMIC WORLDS
FUH-*REAKY* PLACES THAT YOU SEE
>>
>>152373272
This show seems overly y2k to still be around with it's cyber asthetic and Prozzäk art style. The characters in this image besides the main 3 and flying bird all feel like Graggle to me.
>>
>>152373272
Who replaced Gilbert Gottfried?
>>
>>152373272
WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?
>>
>>152373272
AND DON'T CALL ME NEZZIE
>>
>>152374020
Gilbert Gottfried (seasons 1-13)
Ron Pardo (seasons 14-present)
>>
>>152373371
The worst fucking thing was dipshits convincing the public that everything should make money and that public services were a waste of cash.
>>
>>152373272
Most PBS stations don't air it anymore, it's only on the PBS Kids channel.
>>
>>152374104
Who needs to be told? Anyone with eyes and a functioning brain can see it.
>>
>>152374104
kek
everyone has always known those as basic facts. we just let it slide as long as they were trying to provide a public service
once they pivoted to indoctrination, we said no
so they had their stooge attack it to engender sympathy. it's a pretty common cycle you should be used to by now.
>>152374084
huh, is he any good at sounding like gilbert? kind of a tough nut to crack, that one.
>>
>>152373272
I loved this show so fucking much but I never got to see new episodes after I turned 13 so I stopped watching it
Surprised they're still funding this. I think my favorite episode was the Cyber Pyramid one with the Eye of Rom
>>
>>152373272
I randomly looked into this years ago cause I grew up with it. Didn’t realize it was still going even then and the show focuses on environmentalism now instead of math.
>>
>>152373272
is christopher lloyd still in it?
>>
>>152373346
Yeah that was always strange. He looks human, but then you have the humanoid girl.

>>152374678
>huh, is he any good at sounding like gilbert? kind of a tough nut to crack, that one.
Last time I heard which was a random season 14 episode, not really.
>>
>>152373272
so did they give digit a gilbert sound-alike now?
>>
Is it just me or there isn't much art of Cyberchase out there?
>>
>>152375201
I mean it's a simple no frills educational show, not exactly gonna have that much.
>>
>>152373371
Well, keep in mind that it's specifically the Corporation for Public Broadcasting that got fucked. And while PBS did receive much of its' funding from the CPB, it gets more than enough from major donors (and, as the placards at the end of each show state, from viewers like you) to sustain operations.

The real loss here is to smaller public TV/Radio stations at the local/state level.
>>
>>152373272
lol @ any and all of the new characters

>season 16
Wat, i remember watching that 20+ years ago.

All of those characters were in old seasons. They're not really a part of the main cast still either way.
>>
Does this show still have a fandom? Who watches this show nowadays?
>>
>>152373371
realistically all they need to do is find a way to keep the lights on until the next administration
>>
>>152376168
Doing what?
>>
>>152375976
Edutainment and preschool shows don't need a fandom to keep going.
It simply has legacy status and there's not a lot of competition in the math and science category of education animation.

There was this urban legend that Gottfried was going to be replaced by David Hasselhoff. Honestly, I'm morbidly curious as to what that might've sounded like.
>>

So if people like Musk keep donating, PBS isn't as fucked?

My hope of winning sank
Oh, 'cause I got the Daily Double now
And then my mind went blank
I took Potpourri for one hundred
And then my head started to spin
Well, I'm givin' up, Don Pardo
Just tell me now what I didn't win, yeah, yeah

Holy shit... they are STILL MAKING THIS? I had no idea. Loved this shit so much as a kid, I hope it's still just as good for the kids of today

PBS shows can run forever. Look how long Arthur ran. The Kratts Brothers superhero show is still on, too.
>>
>>152379803
it switched to flash animation just like arthur, haven't watched enough of the new show to say if the other parts are still good, though
>>
>>152379842
>PBS shows can run forever.
What causes this?
>>
>>152380602
Being publicly funded (historically) means you don't have to compete in the market place of ideas
You can run one show into the ground if there's no competition
>>
>>152373371
>>152374311
>>152374678
People like you should be held up against a walk and shot. You people are proof democracy doesnt work because of easily impressionable redneck retards like you who dont deserve to breath let alone have the ability to vote
>>
>>152373272
Cyberchase is still going? I occasionally turn on PBS Kids, and Cyberchase pops up and it's in 3:4 ratio, it's been around since 2002. I just call it "that cartoon with Gilbert Gotfried as a parrot." But Gilbert Gotfried is dead now.
>>
>>152373272
I only remember the episode where both the girls kissed the guy

It also probably helps that it's cheaper to continue an existing show than launch a new one. With these PBS Kids series, they've all long switched from traditional animation to motion tween rigs, which means a bunch of assets can be reused in perpetuity without issue.
>>
>>152383421
Is digital animation a good thing here then?

Speaking of a whale, my favorite episode (or the one I remember the most) of this show was the Season 2 one where they have to stop a giant whale robot from destroying the city.

Understandable, but damn that animation style sucked the life out of shows like Cyberchase and Arthur. Even with some of the better animated puppet-rigged PBS shows like WordGirl and Wild Kratts and recent shows like Bluey, I still see flash animation as of a blight to the animation industry as beanmouth became just a few short years later.

>>152383815
On one hand, switching to 2D puppet rigs help saves time and money on animation. On the other hand, skill issues could likely explain why several of the earliest 2D puppet-rigged shows were plagued with animation that was either clunky (Jacob Two-Two, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That) or overly robotic (that walk cycle ending credits for Nelvana's My Friend Rabbit animated series). Another issue I noticed were some unnecessary wobbling as some characters talking and gesturing (Willa's Wild Life). And then for shows that switched to pupper rigs, their character models suddenly seem off and had vacant facial expressions (Cyberchase, Arthur).

Characters in OP's pic (from left to right):
>Slider (side character)
>Fluff (side character)
>Jackie (main character)
>Matt (main character)
>Teeny Weeny (side character)
>Inez (main character)
>Creech (main character)
>Jules (side character)

All the side characters in OP's pic first appeared within the first five seasons. With that many side characters crammed into that pic, you'd think Shari Spotter would have been included, too.
>>
>>152387201
*Creech (side character)

Also, Slider's the cool kid whose dad was voiced by Tony Hawk, Creech is from some Hawaii-type island, Jules is a guard in his debut episode, Teeny Weeny is from a family of circus performers, and Fluff is a penguin who plays ice hockey.
>>
>>152384568
Outlasting Arthur and Clifford is a tragedy considering those were the shows I watched the most and I fucking hated Cyberchase as a kid. Literally the only character I liked was Hacker
>>
>>152373272
Lucky them, am I right fellas?
