everyone has always known those as basic facts. we just let it slide as long as they were trying to provide a public service
once they pivoted to indoctrination, we said no
so they had their stooge attack it to engender sympathy. it's a pretty common cycle you should be used to by now.

huh, is he any good at sounding like gilbert? kind of a tough nut to crack, that one.

I loved this show so fucking much but I never got to see new episodes after I turned 13 so I stopped watching it
Surprised they're still funding this. I think my favorite episode was the Cyber Pyramid one with the Eye of Rom

Yeah that was always strange. He looks human, but then you have the humanoid girl.

Last time I heard which was a random season 14 episode, not really.

Well, keep in mind that it's specifically the Corporation for Public Broadcasting that got fucked. And while PBS did receive much of its' funding from the CPB, it gets more than enough from major donors (and, as the placards at the end of each show state, from viewers like you) to sustain operations.
The real loss here is to smaller public TV/Radio stations at the local/state level.

All of those characters were in old seasons. They're not really a part of the main cast still either way.

There was this urban legend that Gottfried was going to be replaced by David Hasselhoff. Honestly, I'm morbidly curious as to what that might've sounded like.

Well, I knew I was in trouble now
My hope of winning sank
Oh, 'cause I got the Daily Double now
And then my mind went blank
I took Potpourri for one hundred
And then my head started to spin
Well, I'm givin' up, Don Pardo
Just tell me now what I didn't win, yeah, yeah

Cyberchase is still going? I occasionally turn on PBS Kids, and Cyberchase pops up and it's in 3:4 ratio, it's been around since 2002. I just call it "that cartoon with Gilbert Gotfried as a parrot." But Gilbert Gotfried is dead now.

It also probably helps that it's cheaper to continue an existing show than launch a new one. With these PBS Kids series, they've all long switched from traditional animation to motion tween rigs, which means a bunch of assets can be reused in perpetuity without issue.

Understandable, but damn that animation style sucked the life out of shows like Cyberchase and Arthur. Even with some of the better animated puppet-rigged PBS shows like WordGirl and Wild Kratts and recent shows like Bluey, I still see flash animation as of a blight to the animation industry as beanmouth became just a few short years later.
>>152383815
On one hand, switching to 2D puppet rigs help saves time and money on animation. On the other hand, skill issues could likely explain why several of the earliest 2D puppet-rigged shows were plagued with animation that was either clunky (Jacob Two-Two, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That) or overly robotic (that walk cycle ending credits for Nelvana's My Friend Rabbit animated series). Another issue I noticed were some unnecessary wobbling as some characters talking and gesturing (Willa's Wild Life). And then for shows that switched to pupper rigs, their character models suddenly seem off and had vacant facial expressions (Cyberchase, Arthur).

Characters in OP's pic (from left to right):
>Slider (side character)
>Fluff (side character)
>Jackie (main character)
>Matt (main character)
>Teeny Weeny (side character)
>Inez (main character)
>Creech (main character)
>Jules (side character)
All the side characters in OP's pic first appeared within the first five seasons. With that many side characters crammed into that pic, you'd think Shari Spotter would have been included, too.
>>
>>152387201
*Creech (side character)
Also, Slider's the cool kid whose dad was voiced by Tony Hawk, Creech is from some Hawaii-type island, Jules is a guard in his debut episode, Teeny Weeny is from a family of circus performers, and Fluff is a penguin who plays ice hockey.
