Even before AI, people would accidentally draw extra fingers. Hell, sometimes they'd animate the wrong limb, resulting in off screen horrors.
Artists are constantly drawing, all the time. You might think everything requires a lot of attention and care, but like anything once you're competent at it, it's easy to do it on autopilot. Which is where mistakes start creeping in.
Draw a panel from one perspective. The next from another. In the first, the perspective encourages one position. In the next, another. Don't got time, or energy to check. Or maybe you did and it was too late. Or maybe you went back and edited one and forgot the check the other. Maybe you drew a bunch of images to match the "Script" and then edited them all together where appropriate, never considering the overall continuity.
Anything at all, really.

interesting
i assumed he would be a bad guy seeing as how the "order" of the world is based on Darkseid's will, so he would be reinforcing Darkseid's order as righteous.
anyway, i don't assume that's actually the end for him - trading mantles is pretty common for Dr. Fate, so i imagine we'll see a new Fate in the Absolute Universe.

I'm really starting to come around on Absolute GL. At first it was kind of middling and still finding its footing as an Absolute book. But after the Black Lantern issue with Tomar Re, I feel like it's starting to feel more like a proper Absolute book. At the very least, it's above Absolute Flash. Although that's not a very high bar to clear, but it's still something.

He is literally living the best possible life any Lex has lived so far it feels like. Which is unfortunately like the biggest red flag that it's all going to go to hell hard. If he's lucky maybe Braniac will negotiate with him and this Lex will be fighting Superman and friends for his family's sake. But this Braniac really doesn't feel like the negotiating type.

Nah man. I grew up on manga. These days I'm much more into American comics, but I'll always love Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, Junji Ito's work, and Shintaro Kago's work. Hell one of these days I'll get around to reading One Piece. We live in the era of information. Comic readers should have access to whatever comics they want, from all over the world.
Japanese comics do have this factor of cultural weirdness which is alien to the Western mind, and that's why I'm not really following any manga anymore. I do read Boruto each month, but that's it these days.
There's a lot of great comics out of Europe and South America, too. To each their own.

I think fed up is a good description for him. He's been doing the hero thing for a century and some change and it's clearly worn on him. Like he's been worn down enough to not be idealistic and instead more realistic about what he thinks can be done alone and what needs to be compromised on. Which is a heavy contrast to a guy who's just really staring being a hero in this Superman

So long as they don't go full retard and try to merge absolute with mainline they could go for years easily. The premise is obviously working still, Absolute has only been gaining momentum as time's gone on, the Bane arc was the most buzz any comic has had in years and years. Plus I think Wondie fans need AWW or they'll commit mass sudoku seeing as King is killing off Diana to shill his OC soon.

02/05/26(Thu)00:51:54 No.152384084 It'll be insane if Braniac's attempts to break Lex turns Lex into a hero in the absolute universe, because while his actions replicated the facts of what turned Luthor into what he became, as a being of logic foremost, Training failed to replicate the substance.
Or at least, for a time. As a sorta finale, Lex becomes the final antagonist for Superman as he aims to rewrite this universe at a foundational level, aiming to erase it if he can't. Because he found out about the Omega Particle and aims to free everyone from its grip. Even if the only option to do so is to kill the universe and everyone inside, so those outside it can never be touched and those inside would no longer suffer.

Killing his family for the hell of it is dumb of Brainiac, I agree, but I like that second idea. Imagine if he thinks back on his words and looks for his alt universe self thinking he might also have a family that was taken from him, only to realize that he's a total knob for no reason. Family guys like that are the ones to end it all to be with their family. Having him desperately try to find a way to converse with Darkseid and beg for his family back only to get erased for the effort would be apt.

Not because he rejected being proactive. Like MAX Kingpin. There ought to be a moment where Brainiac gets double crossed and holds his family hostage and Lex the monster he's turned into just replies
>You were right Brainiac. What is a small family of 4 compared to the salvation of Earth at the hand of Lex Luthor? The greatest man to ever live?
And he just kills them all to try and kill Brainiac too.
It would be the final nail in the coffin for Lex embracing who he is. He is created not because his family dies but because he realized Brainiac was right all along and no longer needs him... or any of them.

>Thompson hinted that the design intentionally appears “unfinished,” denoting a narrative reason behind the developing look.
That's cool to know. Thank fuck that the Absolute creatives love to show stuff off. I'd love to buy a Making of artbook for the books

And all the Tomars have the flame whispering inside them, trying to guide them back to Darkseid's law.
Guy questions his worthiness as an Ain Rao, but conforming to the system is the quality they want. John wants to understand the system but does not resist it, hence he can be an Aur of OA.
Sinestro made the discovery that both ends of the scale serve the same purpose although they are not equal - Qard is the closest to Darkseid, but OA is part of his design too. Understanding the truth of the universe combined with a sheer refusal to serve Darkseid's purpose may have resulted in a state where he is chaotic, enlightened, and an anomaly all at the same time.

The issue is that, it nulls Abin Sur's mystery.
The readers were trying to understand what happening for more than a year, only to learn that it doesn't matter since the system was wrong.

Anomalies were introduced early enough though. They don't nullify the system and they don't necessarily have to be right in what they are doing. The only thing that bothers me right now is how over-represented they appear to be on Earth. A single Xudarian is not a big deal. One Earth renegade, sure why not. But at this rate in a few issues there will be more anomalies on Earth than true Ains/Abins.

Yeah, that's true...
That's the only thing that's a bit iffy but I guess it's a consequence of how they tied it into Darkseid.
Unrelated but do you think we could see some more survivors from Krypton down the line? I could see that one girl on the ship being a younger Kara

Earth is canonically the most important planet in the multiverse. You might as well ask why the last survivor of Krypton just happened to land on Earth. Plus it makes sense that even Darkseid's imagined version of Earth would on some subconscious level become his worst nightmare. Heroes aren't supposed to exist in this universe in the first place, but somehow they just keep popping up on Earth.
