Best case scenario, they make everyone sign NDA's and make absolutely sure no phones are snuck inside the theaters. If anything happens, we need to spam social media sights with fake spoilers to counteract the real ones.

This could end up being one of the biggest ball fumbles an animation studio has made in a long while.
You're lucky enough to create a series this good and popular, but you want to risk spoiling the end of it for a big chunk of your fans? Seems insane
>>153169445
An NDA probably won't amount for much. The Hazbin Broadway premiere was much smaller by comparison with NDAs and people were still leaking things lol.
If you can cover your tracks online an NDA doesn't seem to mean much

>>153169690
Just at a glance, I think most people who want to see it in participating countries will be able to. If there's gonna be four showings in my dopey little town, I think that aspect of it will be fine.
Also I think it's probably going to be very financially successful.

Good. TADC is their biggest success by far and once it's over, who knows if they'll ever have something that successful ever again. This moment is the peak of this show's ability to draw money, use it for all it's worth, cause after this, it's gone.

I've seen this posted a few times and within seconds every time someone goes "erm actually that was netflix theaters are different?"
>>153170230
>But why do it 2 weeks before the actual release date?
Because FOMO marketing. People bring up stuff like Iron Lung like it's the same but Markiplier didn't post 90% of the movie on youtube then have a delayed release for the full thing in theaters because he's not a cunt.

If it were me, I would do an accompanying early digital release right after the theatrical run is over, like some kinda Youtube Members Only thing. Cause it is kinda rough if you live in a European English speaking country that isn't even gonna get a chance to see this.

I like Glitch. I want them to be able to keep making stuff I like and for that, they need to make money. That's capitalism, baby.
>>
>>153170316
>Honwstly I feel betrayed by Glitch.
I don't know if betrayed is the right word. You didn't have any reason to have any particular faith in them. Them being shitty about the last episode is really out of nowhere
>>
>>
>>153170364
>they need to make money.
They have shelves of merch in hot topic and walmart. They've made plenty of money, enough to fund decades of shows. You're just a vile excuse for a person who excuses any behavior if it results in profit because it's the only thing you put any value on.

Maybe I’ll just go watch it in the theater. I kinda like going out to the movies and I have thursday nights off anyway. Looks like presale tickets aren’t up yet for my local theater but TADC is listed in their “coming soon” section already.
Of course, I mighta preferred to watch it on youtube cause it’s cheaper and less hassle. But I think I recall most of the episodes have dropped on fridays so I was late to most of them already because I work that day.

I just got back from a convention that was crawling with TADC cosplay, so, eh, I don’t think I’ll mind too much. The cutest one was a little four year old boy dressed as Caine and his mom was dressed as Pomni and was holding his hand while he kept turning his head in every direction to look at everything excitedly.

>>153170726
You're saying this as if Caine is even half as bad as AM or as if he didn't suddenly start le HATING HUMANS just recently, the fucker does not even have a proper moving body and he's still more threatening than Caine in the latest episode

You're not fooling anyone, nigger. Industrynigs are all the same, you hate all independent productions because you can't stand working on big studio slop but are too chickenshit to take the financial risk to quit, so you convince yourself the grass isn't greener to justify staying. You constantly shit this board up with your cope.

From a business standpoint you're right, it's probably a great a idea.
Animating your entire show with AI is also a great business idea if people are willing to pay for it. So is replacing your workforce with foreign labour, using shitty rigs for all your characters, being too safe with your content to broaden your appeal or avoid controversy.
Most of the western animation industry is shit or filled with shows that never reach their full potential, because these shows prioritize business decsions over creative ones. These indie/from indie shows were refreshing because they found a way to be profitable without compromising their creative integrity or fans.

It’s the show’s last episode anyway and it’s still coming to youtube for free. If spoilers leak, fans themselves will be the ones leaking them. I don’t see why I should feel like the show runners owe it to me to not take the really big opportunity to do a theatrical run.

I don’t trust kids to have the judgement skills to know the appropriate time to swear but I also recognize there’s no way to shield them from the knowledge of the very concept of swearing. Refusing to let them watch a particular cartoon over that that I might otherwise approve of seems kinda useless. I dunno, I guess it depends on the individual kid.
>>
>>
>>153172811
I'm more pissed about them not bothering with Europe, is there some EU regulations they're avoiding or what? I know it says thst we can contact our local cinemas ourselves but like... Idk how to do that, I have ABC Park and LYS near me but how the fuck do I contact them? I'm just a random guy from Spain what can I even do?

Iunno. Maybe go to the physical theater and politely place the request with management? Call a customer support line? Leave an email? I wouldn’t go to the trouble myself of doing that and I don’t know how these things work either.
But if I were in charge of a particular theater location and like one month out I got a flood of calls from a bunch of kids and neckbeards saying they wanted their weird cartoon to play on a random thursday like one month out, and there were more of them than all the patrons i usually see on a random thursday in june combined, I’d do what I could to clear a theater for them and rake in that money.

What I don't get about everyone complaining about not being able to watch it, just pirate it?
I am sure there is gonna be someone who records it, or maybe even someone leaks it, and then you can easily just pirate it, is it really so bad, or are Gen Zers clutching their pearls so hard that pirating just hasn't occurred to them?
Can someone explain this to me like I am a retarded faggot?
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>153173203
Sure, but like, at least "you" have something, it is the people acting like there is absolutely, no way, no how, they can watch it.
Shitty camrips are, albeit not great, still a way to watch it early, not in theaters. So like, what the hell is the problem?
Beggers can't be choosers.
>>
>>153173153
1. The quality will suck ass compared to when they just release the YouTube version. You might find it the day of but will not enjoy it nearly as much as watching it premier on YouTube
2. By the time you dig the internet and torrents to find a camrip you already be spoiled hard just trying to find it

I am not a quality fag, so I do not give enough of a shit about whether ot not it is in 144p or 4K UHD golden resolution, with fully rendered 8D, surround sound and jiggle phsyics, so that is why I never considered that.
2. That's fair, I didn't consider how hard it is to find day of camrips/torrents, but I am sure, if you really cared, you could get someone who gives no shits about spoilers to find it for you or something, that's not unheard of, I got a friend who gives me pirated copies of porn games for free, I could get him to do the same thing for the movie if I really cared.

The more I think about this, the shittier it seems. You will have to go to the theater and see it, and if you can't for any reason then you need to dodge the spoilers for two weeks (this is too long to demand of someone to stay off social media, youtube, 4chan, etc.) Whatever the resolution of the story is, you can be sure people are going to be annoyed about it because they'll be receiving it as second-hand information and not experiencing it as intended.

>Best case scenario, they make everyone sign NDA's and make absolutely sure no phones are snuck inside the theaters
That's the worst case scenario.
The actual best case scenario is a pirated version getting posted very early so people can watch it and Glitch can still get its shekels.
Hell if I was glitch I would straight up "leak" the episode somewhere on the same day so people calm down. The only ones that actually care about the two weeks gap are the theater corporations , and even them wouldn't give a fuck about a leak because it is only going 4 days and most seats will have been bought way before.

It makes me think that the decision to put it in theatres was just rushed as fuck. Add to all that the mix up with the announcement. And burning in the youtube release date to episode 8, only to be like "tee hee just kidding" a few weeks later?
I trust the final product simply because I know Goose isn't involved in the marketing side of things, but Glitch is definitely making it harder to have faith and be hyped with all this shit
Before episode 8, people were pissing and shitting for days when Glitch would release a single shot, using it as the basis for all kinds of speculation. Now they've released a fucking teaser trailer and all anyone is talking about is how pissed off they are, almost no one is actually engaging with the story right now

My guess would be that’s because of the theaters. Negotiating a limited theater run can result in very last minute scheduling because you have to prove people will show up and buy tickets later and the box office’s calculation is constantly changing week to week. They might have even waited to see equal or higher viewership numbers on episode 8 before confirming the full dates vs a one-day event, that kind of arrangement. Glitch could have been planning for the theatrical release down to the last minute with the Youtube in their back pocket in case it didn’t go through. TADC selling out is going to make it easier for them to schedule this kind of thing in the future because they can point to a success.
>>
>>153168912
This show started off with so much potential. Then went to shit with the boring ass fast food episode. By episode 2 I know that this show was not going to last long when they started revealing the inner workings of the circus so damn early.
This show could have very easily been serialized in an episodic format, with nearly infinite episodes and infinite guest stars, with the six MCs going on brand new adventures every week, trying to escape from the digital circus, Each episode could have built upon the core mystery of the circus and at the same time expanded upon it. I could see this show easily lasting years if needed. You could introduce new characters throughout the years and make money off their merch.
But... No. Instead gooseworx decided to turn this once in a lifetime golden opportunity into a god damn therapy session! What is it with modern creatives self sabotaging their own success and using their creative works as multi-million dollar therapy sessions? I literally do not give a shit about your problems. I work 7 days a week trying to keep the bank from foreclosing on me. Entertain me for half an hour each week so I forget my troubles. Dont force me to be a witness to your self pitying bullshit!
And gooseworx I know you're here. It's not too late to make a changed and turn around this show. Consider this series as a season 0 of sorts. A pilot season to showcase the concept. Take what you have and remake it anew but follow what I laid out for you. Get new actors and try again. And if you want, have this season be a lore foundation for the upcoming seasons. About a group of six legends who escaped the circus or some things like that. Consider this your prequel to greatness.
Gooseworx I may not understand you as a person. But I recognize your talent. Dont screw yourself out of wealth and happiness. And dont screw me out of entertainment.
P.S. That grey skinned princess show isnt gonna work. No, I care not to google its name because its bad.

I feel insane whenever people talk about spoilers. Like yeah its a mildly disappointing and I'd rather not be spoiled, but they affect my enjoyment of something like 0.01%
I cant imagine caring enough about being spoiled to change my behavior in an attempt to avoid it. If it happens it happens, it doesn't affect the quality of the story itself at fucking all

I genuinely can't think of a worse fandom than the Digital Circus community to sit in a room for two hours and watch the finale with. So many people lacking in self-awareness who genuinely don't seem to understand the show.
The threat of the finale being interrupted by someone genuinely angry that it didn't go the way they wanted it to (they didn't escape from being brainscans, a ship didn't materialize, someone died) feels terrifyingly real

hell the reason why the gaslight pilot has 20 million views is because TADC fans, which yes gaslight district won't be as popular as TADC, but it doesn't mean that the TADC fans or the MD fans will go away, they'll stick around with Glitch until they find their next obsession

I think it’s an hour long, but they’re playing episode 8 before it to stretch it to a full feature length slot.
So it’ll open with this.
>>
What is the point of doing this when releasing the episodes on their channel has always been the way? Is this final episode so good that it deserves theatrical release? Will Pomni physically come out of the screen and give me a blowjob if I go? What an overly pompous decision by glitch.

Literally all these fucking idiots need to do is have everyone that shows up sign an NDA that they can’t post anything online until the public release date.
Yeah there’d still be some reckless bad eggs who wouldn’t care but I imagine there’d also be significantly less spoilers to worry about.

Limited availability and the fact that the ending will be screened in advance in theaters. Why not do theater premieres at the same time the episode is released on YouTube? Netflix has done it with their own shows, like One Piece of Stranger Things, and you know the TADC fans will pay just to see it on the big screen.

Honestly I'm glad it's not airing here, cause if it did I definitely would go watch it, and I don't wanna imagine the judging stares of film goers wondering why a creepy looking grown man is coming to the cinema to watch a kid's cartoon alone.

>I guarantee that the percentage of viewers buying merch is less than 5%
If the merch wasn't selling, TADC would still be at pilot visuals, there would be a lot less merch, we'd have no theatrical release, they wouldn't be picking up that many new shows, and the series probably would've been over a long time ago.

Okay so let's say I do sign an NDA, what happens if I come here to this anonymous image board and leak the details? How can they trace this leak back to me?

Please don't joke. I bought a ticket to go by myself cuz why tf not, but now I'm worried I'll be the only adult attending my screening. Do we have a good reading on The Amazing Digital Circus's fandom demographics?

goose is going to release thousands of different versions and cross-reference the leaked one with the wifi logs and palantir scores of every single viewer.

>thinking that the armies of manchildren that watch this shit would be mature enough to follow an NDA
Those theaters are gonna be lit the fuck up by thousands of phone screens actively recording and posting every scene in the hopes they can get a hit tweet reaction video.
