I never understood how Jax could be an incel in real life; he’s never shown any trouble interacting with women, and if anything, he’s proven that he can be charismatic when he wants to, considering he managed to make Pomni feel comfortable enough with him to hug him, even though she doesn’t like physical contact.
Ironically, I imagine that Jax’s real-life problems might be the exact opposite: he gets along well with women but feels insecure because other men tell him that only a sissy spends so much time with girls

The older I get the more I feel like there's no such thing as people who suck "just because." If someone's routinely making terrible decisions, something's wrong there, whether it's in something that happened to them or just something fucked in their brain. What to do about it is another question entirely, but I don't think anyone would choose to be a pathetic loser or destructive person if they truly had full control of their faculties. I think everyone exists within a kind of limited range, and for some people the lower end of that range can get really fucking bad.
I mean it's not like I wake up every morning and actively choose to not rape and murder everyone I see, it's just an urge than would never fucking occur to me.

Pomni is the exception, not the rule. She is the most observant, emotionally intelligent and bridge building character. She had him figured one way, and slowly he began to reshape that idea she had of him (the average person would not wait around for that). Eventually she decided to run on his wavelength and give it a try, and she did actually have fun once she got to know him. That’s not electric charisma, that’s just Jax’s most positive quality, he is able to be fun in the right circumstances. Then of course he crashed out because of his intimacy issues but there you go.
He’s not boring, but he is a form of anti-social person.

Not even now. Episode 6 would have been the moment where things were the worst between Ragatha and Pomni since episode 2, and Pomni still wanted to be on her team over Kinger and Jax.

I think the biggest problem with Pomni and Ragatha's friendship is that they don't really have any shared interests. Ragatha came from a wealthy but abusive family, and her tastes lean more toward girly things and her horses, while Pomni seemed to lead a normal life and enjoyed taking small risks. So it's only natural that Pomni finds it more fun to hang out with Jax when he's not acting like a jerk. Pomni and Ragatha are definitely friends, but it feels like it’s mostly because of the situation they’re in; I feel like if they’d met in real life, they would have been just acquaintances at best.

Pomni has a lot of charisma, she’s the hero. Not that she’s flawless either, but I like the way them interacting less after the start shows Ragatha’s issues vs Pomni’s boundaries. It feels like a realistic/adult ambiguity compared to fast friendship cartoon tropes. Watching them all at once I didn’t think they’re not developed enough either, it’s just a short show. I’m satisfied if they have at least a final scene or two in the finale showing what’s up with them, I assume that will happen.

Just because you like taking small risks doesn't mean you like horror; Pomni herself says she doesn't like horror, and a farm game is quite different from actually living on a farm. And honestly, I don't think Ragatha has ever played a video game in her life, given how strict and abusive her mother seems to be. It doesn't bother me that they're friends, but I feel like Goose hasn't done anything to make me believe they'd actually be friends outside the circus. I buy into the friendship between Gangle and Zooble because they're both artist in their own way so they can bond, but I don't feel that with Pomni and Ragatha. I think it would have been nice to see an adventure where the two of them have fun and we get to see them talk about something that has nothing to do with the circus.
