I think it is true. You don't "escape" the kenoma by "going to" the pleroma, otherwise, you are still trapped in samsara. You "escape" by realizing the pleroma is within, and that one is in control of one's own destiny and mind.

Within the thematic context of "finding meaning in a stagnant life," escaping the circus to go IRL as a traditional happy ending would seriously undermine the narrative.
