Alright hypothetical time:

Scenario 1: You are tasked to make a growth movie with the goal to make money and appeal to general audiences, what is your plot. who is making it, and what kind of movie is it (Genre, animated/live action, ect).

Scenario 2: You are given infinite money and infinite creative freedom, what growth related thing (Movie, Game, puppet show) are you making.

Personally I’d aim for an CRPG akin to Baldurs Gate 3, just with a party member who’s a shy, regular girl who gets afflicted by a ‘curse’ that makes her first grow big enough to make her a heavy hitter, like ten feet tall, but she has never fought before, so high damage but terrible accuracy. But as time goes on, she continues to slowly grow even bigger (maybe like 30ft by endgame), gaining some damage increases as the story progresses but her levels are chiefly tied to her getting used to fighting and using her size in creative ways. So while other party members develop their skills as any other game, she starts as a high risk, high reward party ‘brawler’ just learning to both handle her ever-increasing and easily accidentally destructive size but becoming adept at using it without accidentally stomping on other party members or tripping into a building. Eventually she’s able to kick down castle walls or hurl boulders (and people) with great skill. Still give her weaknesses, like not being able to fit in small places and no stealth if she’s in the party, though maybe a temp shrink power as a later game option.
Add making her a romance option, a slowly developing confidence in being a giant (especially if you make no illusions as to finding her stature attractive) and, so long as you’ve been supportive of her using her size to her advantage and not make her feel like a monster, her eventual refusal of a ‘cure’ to her condition, and you have a setup for an otherwise usual RPG with a heavy dose of fetish material in there.

Plenty of opportunities to have her have growth spurts at inopportune times, with early unwanted growth giving way to enjoying it as you support her and so forth. Add some fun scenes of you climbing her body, both for practical reasons like reaching high places as much as possible as enjoying getting closer to her in all ways and I’d call that a winner.

Ya know what? I remake 30ft. Bride of Candy Rock. Make it a romcom. Have it take place in 2000-2020s. Have Emmy Lou, or just Emmi, be a mousey girlfailure. Artie is her closest friend and goes with him on crazy shit, Like going to Candy Rocks to learn the mystery of whatever there. Artie and Emmi reconcile as she dodging and horribly hiding from the army. At the end of it, Emmi is still 30ft. and her and Artie have there nice lil' custom farm home. This is such a strange thing to speculate about. Fantasizing about rejecting positive comments from retards to accept some brutal, withering and honest feedback from /d/, and presenting it as a dichotomy. Here's a thought; what if you make something and you don't even get any 'toxic' positive comments? I write for this community. I find the main issue is the content of what we're making. Very few people wear their fetish on their sleeves for good reason. You can put months of work into something, have it occupy your thoughts, then finally put it out there. For what? Only for a few favourites or a comment that is so autistic that you take pride in being normal.

And that's it. Next project, same fetish, same thing: girl get bigger. You start asking questions. Is there any merit to this? Am I a freak? Why bother making any of this? I can't make a living out of this without pushing super hard, but then my full-time job is my fetish? Is this my forever hobby?

And then you don't feel like making anything for months or years.

Imagine the existential dread of being an artist, but add sexuality, a fetish that makes your art impossible to tie to your identity without shame, and autists.

In my experience, the only way to make things consistently is to not lose sight of what this is: a fetish. Make the art. Enjoy making it. Enjoy sharing it. And don't have big ideas about turning it into a movement, or a living, unless you literally have nothing to lose.

I think that's what shits me about the direction Azmaybe took. Normalising growing women. Like the furries trying to get the normies to 'understand' them. Fuck, can you imagine if everyone in the world had a growth fetish and talked about it openly?

This is the answer. Not many people know how to give good advice and are more for giving honey'd words that pretty much mean nothing. Not to say that getting an audience who loves you isn't good its just when you hit a wall, your audience won't be there to help you break it down. They're just there to cheer you on while you ram your head into it over and over. So being an artist (especially with depression) of any medium is really tough cause you're pretty much on your own unless you have a ride or die art friend who can help you.

There's a framing technique that DNApalmhead (yes, furry, whatever, but he did do cute anime girls at one time) has mastered that really gives a sense of overwhelm no matter the size. Have a far-out shot of a girl (or a body part), and take three or so panels for her to fill the image completely, to the point where it's vague what we're even looking at. Then, pick another angle of her at the new size, but framed small with another far-out shot, and repeat until growth is done (or never done).

Here's an example from Ninutshuge. Just replace the fat furry character with a girl.

It still bothers me that so many potential dynamics are being left on the floor, in such a weird kink.

Like, growth is pretty lonely. How about writing a comic about a boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife keeping their relationship intact somehow, despite the girl in the relationship turning godzilla-sized? Could be cute.

Or, having your body drastically changed must also affect your bodily functions. What if a growth medical treatment is slowly turning a girl into a horny beast because it's fucking with her hormones? For incest fans, what if this happens to a single mom living with her son, or a sister?

The shirt-shifting &ripping motions are hand-drawn, with references taken mainly from Giantess artists like La Potato, as well as commissioned works by finleytennfjord(non gts).

The idea came from an old episode of Urusei Yatsura, where a swallow grows into a kaiju after eating an oni candy that makes people grow.
I’ve adapted that concept into something new:

“Special alien-brand snacks packed with excessive minerals. After the girl eats them, her body grows instantly due to over-nutrition—until the fluids in her digestive system become too dry to continue dissolving the snack. It was an experiment with the shirt. I wanted to create a stronger visual effect of straining buttons and revealing gaps, but blendshapes couldn’t handle that properly—the vertices around her chest went haywire whenever she jiggled (this shirt has some odd vertex behavior). So I exported the main texture from her original shirt and redrew it into six+ key frames of the ripping process.

Thanks to the newest version of the MaterialEditor plugin, I can switch between those six textures using timeline keyframes. It also lets me add movements like stretching, folding, and shifting the texture. Instead of spending extra time drawing more in-between frames, I can use quick squash-and-stretch motions near the jump cuts to help mask the texture swaps.

For the drawing work, I used both Procreate (it supports 3D texture drawing!) and Blender.
