I love Squigly. She was one of the first video game characters with a canonically and unambiguously big butt, to the point that it's written on her design sheet. She literally isn't on model without a fat ass. And this was back in the early 10s when big butts were still finding acceptance in gaming.

Some people will point to Chun-Li as a counterexample but she was more known as the "big thigh lady" from what I saw. Few people actually drew attention to the SIZE of her butt, or any girl's. The Skullgirls cast, and Squigly in particular, really felt like the start of that.

I think she's just arching her back, and tilting her pelvis back. In the left image, notice the plane of the belt is parallel to the floor. The butt pockets are also some what pointed upwards/downwards. In the right image, the belt plane is now tilted forward and the pockets are largely resting on the top of the butt. I think she's leaning forward, but is making a really strong arch to where it looks as if she's standing upright.
