i found a pair of everlane jeans at goodwill and have been ebay-ing more pairs for work for a while.
they are stretch denim but i am fine with this. the rise is the highest of any mainstream mass produced brand ive tried yet.

Ma'am he can just wear chinos or cargo hiking pants, linen pants, low weight hiking pants, wool trousers, duck canvas pants, hemp drawstring pants, 5 pocket twill pants. Honestly jeans arent comfortable and are some of the worst pants you can wear. They get cold when wet yet they are hot in summer, they aren't soft, they don't have good pockets, duck is more durable in thickness, synthetics are more durible in mobement abrasion. They're literally obsolete and only worn for the look.

Just get a pair of 501s.
