I miss it but it will only be performative if the culture doesn't match up

I've seen some dress Emo, punk, goth like but not originally, it's mostly clothes from hot topic or other online stores that sell those type of clothings.

20 year rule
2006 (beginning of peak emo era) was 20 years ago, so the comeback is going to hit any day now

It has always been around, people just got too fat for it.

emo era was already on the way out in 2006, it hit the mainstream around 2000 and peaked 2004 and was already downward by 2006, when the indie and hipster stuff started

2026 and still don't have an italian-american lover...

As an 25 and half years old italian-brazillian man I find it a reason to give up

I want this fun culture to come back. It was so cringe back then, but there was this earnestness that is so sorely lacking to day.

Have you opened Tiktok or Facebook lately? Emo style is everywhere.

Is it full on YT or somewhere? And man... I still miss that time...

It's not a genuine question. It's this schizo's excuse to dump GIFs of this blacked whore from this gay reddit 2000s reality show

Idk if this board is not mostly Americans, or if my slice of the world seems more relevant than it really is because I'm surrounded by it, but this style has been making a huge comeback since ~2023. Every aspect too. Hardcore kids dressing like hardcore kids from 2003, metalcore and screamo doing the same, lots of zoomer bitches in full on scene getup that have thousands of instagram and tiktok followers. The zoomers who are 20-25 who dress like this often mix it with a more modern senses of fashion, making it less obvious. For example, short and tight fitted band t-shirts (that they overpay for on depop lol), but paired with looser baggy jeans as opposed to tight "emo" skinny jeans. Most of it is performative and the music is mostly even worse, but it's a pretty big thing atm.

>t. Zoomer in a band

This board is mostly Americans. Most people here just don't go out and socialize with people that much, that's why we have a "when will ___ make a comeback" thread like this one every few weeks or so

It soubdd like you're describing 90s fashion, actually.
