I don't use this board, but do you guys care about materials? Cotton, silk, polyester, wool, cashmere. Et cetera.
It seems like the world is getting more aware of plastics and harmful materials we surround ourselves with.
Are you aware of and care about quality materials?
Just curious.

Yes. Ask for recs for any garment+material you are looking for and a price range.

Due to economic circumstance, I started buying polyester clothes from Walmart a few years ago. It absorbs scents, especially sweat. It doesn't really wash out. I want to rid myself of all of it but I simply don't have the money to do so now.

Yes. Sounds like you aren't though, given your irrational fear of technical fabrics.

You don't get to decide what I fear, Temu Freud.

anon someone could tell you tomorrow that brushing your teeth with anything other than hog bristles causes low t and you would believe it immediately. you LOVE being told a popular thing is bad for you because now you have a bonus reason to be contrarian and buy new things.

A lot of use people are getting out of "technical" fabrics on their commute.

You have no idea who I am. You are dumb and wrong, Temu Freud.

I try to avoid synthetic materials because they create a lot of static electricity, which is the last thing you want when electronics are a crucial part of work. Also, my skin doesn't like polyester in particular. It randomly makes my hands, feet, or back itch.

It's good only as shells, windbreakers, generally for waterproofing. Anything with direct skin contact, natural materials are better

My mum bought polyester trousers for me when I was a kid. I started noticing a horrible smell, like vomit, and other people noticed it too. Realised it was my trousers. I refuse to wear manmade fabrics against my skin now.
