what are some good products/hair maintenance habits for "wavy" thick hair
i'm trying to get it long and right now it's half way complete which it's kinda annoying to style
how do i stop of looking it so puffy? it's it the shampoo? am i drying it wrong?

stop using shampoo, if you need it, use a tiny amount, then blow dry

If in doubt just go to a hair saloon and ask them.
I've had mine recommend me a curl cream to apply after washing my hair and it's bringing out the waves even more and I love it

SALT WATER. i have long hair and have grown up always assuming i had fairly straight but thick hair. in the middle of summer if i was active sometimes it would get slightly wavy underneath but it wasnt until i moved to the coast and started swimming regularly in the ocean and just being around the salty air all the time did my hair start getting much visibly wavier and has stayed that way ever since! its magic and best of all its free, just go down to the shoreline with a spray bottle and fill it up

Sea salt spray, make it yourself with big sea salt chunks and a misty squirt bottle. IMO only use 4 sprays then work it in with a crunching hand motion.

That should do it, if your hair gets a little greasy, try working in the tiniest amount of corn starch - it's somehow a great natural shampoo.

Both of these are going to work as well as any 'sea salt spray' or 'dry shampoo' you see on the market, without weird scents or making your hair sticky.

t. I make my hair look like this.
