You were probably overtraining like 90% of the people in the gym do.

I’ve been getting stronger and feeling better doing nothing except:

2-3 times a week
2x5-8 of one arm dumbell press
2x10-12 goblet squats
2x10-12 hip thrusts with the machine
Light band work for my rear delts

Chinups almost daily with grease the groove style sets

Walking or jumping rope on off days.

lol I think its pretty normal to need a week off if you are going hard. I tend to accumulate a lot of minor tweaks and stuff over like 3 or 4 month. Take a 1 week deload and feel great.
