in this context it doesn't really make sense because most producers use a DAW. it's kind of just an excuse to have a redundant thread of /g/ instead of staying on /mu/ with the implication that people here care more about plugins and whatnot but really they're just dorks who have nothing special. they won't invest much in physical studio equipment or electronic music instruments (even digital synthesizers "have a sound" that you can't emulate in software, and these anons generally won't even look for advanced emulation plugins to try to capture the finer nuances of sound). they're absolutely not going to become popular millionaire producers.

Probably for /sqt/ but should I remove the ReplayGain Information from flacs that have the volume reduction? What is it for? It's inconvenient to have to change volume constantly because your library is at different levels.

Turn off ReplayGain in the music player's settings, and you won't have to remove it from the files. ReplayGain is meant to make your library have a more stable volume actually, but if every file doesn't have ReplayGain information, it obviously won't work. ReplayGain information is just metadata that's tacked onto the file, it won't hurt it in any way if you remove it, but once again, it's just easier to turn off the setting in the player. I personally scan ReplayGain for all songs in my library just in case, but usually don't have ReplayGain on in my player.

i thought i had seen a redditor mention that he had heard directly from the russian producer that he used a virus among other synths but i couldn't verify it. it's also weird because the english version was produced by trevor horn who's known for using PPG wave and not the virus. but in this video, funnily enough, there's a virus kb on stage...
