It's a different workflow, even if you change the shortcuts it's not going to be a drop-in replacement for Photoshop and some tasks are easier some are harder it has it's "quirks" but so do Adobe programs.
I can't really comment on the photo editing part since I mostly do vector editing and page layouts for printed media and for that it's been very easy to get used to.
