This. I swear every USB3 flash drive I've used can't even saturate a USB2 port on writes. They're all complete dogshit from my experience. My work has a bunch of Kingston Datatraveler G4 sticks lying about and despite being USB3 they choke and fall over under even moderate write loads.
If there are any flash drives that aren't useless for anything more than small bits of data I'd love to know what they are. I know the real answer is to use an m.2 enclosure instead but surely somebody makes a stick that doesn't have woeful performance. The USB stick form factor is much more handy than any kind of drive enclosure.

I had sandisk 32 gb in my car to play mp3s and lot of files were unplayable or stopped playing in the middle of song just in like 3 months after saving them into it. Now I have cheapest Lexar 32 gb and it still works without even a glitch after 2 years. ScamDisk is shit
