I'm lazy af. I have a prod app built with Rails thats like ~6k LOC, and it probably would have been 20-30k in Go. I never would have bothered.

This is perfectly fine. Go pharisees get the rope.
>It's too slow!

Complete nonissues if you know what you're doing except for ultra high scalability scenarios.

02/04/26(Wed)00:03:31 No.108054407 Shellscript is objectively cancer.
I respect its historical relevance and how it's still in use in terminals everywhere, but damn if it isn't horrible for actual scripting.

I never made a claim about what they were when the software was written. Only that all of them were written by people who at one point worked at Bell Labs.

need normal TUI shell like FAR manager does. not those truncated one-liners. with good confy navigation. why the shell-script abomination? are you retard? posix my ass. python, php, node.. those runtimes, not yer admin script
look at those retards who build systemd binary.. complete idocy.. doing binaries where runtime can do easily

Only an indian could even comprehend a circumstance where they need to question if the foundation of a building is stable enough to change a lightbulb. I take it back. You aren't pretending, Ranjeesh.

Honestly this is the fucking thing that drives me nuts. Why do I have to implement fucking everything from scratch? I don't want to do my own auth! I don't want to load in some OAuth2 bullshit! Rails, and Django, and Laravel and every other fucking big web framework has had it for years. All go has is GET("/") like big fucking whoop you fucks. It's been a decade RUST has better web frameworks than Go!

unless you write another OS free from POSIX standards, then you'll always stuck with it and can only have abstractions as way to cope
