I see animators complain about the Adobe Animate thing
My brother in Christ, RMS has been trying to warn you about this since before you were born. That was the whole point of free software: if Adobe no longer wanted to maintain the code, others would do so if it were free software, but since it is proprietary, there is nothing you can do but complain on Xitter. That's what free software is, but the open source community has completely distorted its message, and now open source means absolutely nothing, as it's just another buzzword.

I like RMS ideals but the problem are his methods, he doesn't realize (as it's clear from he's interviews) that nobody will ever adopt his purity spiral lifestyle not even the most hardcore hackers, furthermore he is fighting a war that stopped making sense 20 years ago with the advent of SaaS and the rise in complexity in software, sure FSF added the AGPL to solve the first problem but it was a late move and had no effect, as for the second problem it invalidates most of his ideology, how can you apply the four use freedoms to something like Firefox or Linux which are so big that nobody could understand it and modify it? How can you understand a Rust program with a gorillion transitive dependencies? In the end FOSS lost to open source because it was more practical and cause corporations supported it to build their cloud surveillance empires, GNU/Linux itself was a part in that ironically.
We need a new movement and new operating systems that focuses on hacking, minimalism and is pragmatic, GNU lost, RMS is too proud (has a huge ego) to admit it.
