>What headphones/earbuds should I buy?
>/g/iemg
Yeah I'm not sure I want to ask there, I feel like I'll enter a hellhole, like the gear threads on /p/.
I think I'd rather ask the comfy /csg/ : I'm in the market for some wireless iems. My audio preferences are standard, just a standard V signature. I like bass enough BUT I tried the Sony 1000XM5 and found them too bassy/muddy/whatever the term that is used to tell it had too much emphasis. Though I know by experience I like bass still, but here it was a tad too much. Hope it helps as a point of reference from a popular well known model.
Which ChiFi model should I look for? Let's say budget is up to 150 bucks, but less is welcome. Ideally I want a pair that's able to save up an EQ profile in its hardware/memory (so I can use them on any device without having to depend on a software EQ on each device). Also a long battery life is welcome, alongside noise canceling, though as a bonus.
And bonus points if I have a waifu making cute sounds when I switch some mode instead of a boring robotic voice or a random beep. Moondrops Golden Age and Moondrop Ultrasonic seem to fit the bill, but maybe there's better considering my budget allows to go further.
I think Anker also does good shit?

Does anyone here know anything about nintendo Switches and joy-cons?
I'm trying to revive my old Switch and I'd like to fix it up a bit. The rubber on the left thumb stick is gone and also the "lock-up" with the switch is loose.
Does anyone know which stores on AE have decent joycon parts? DO I have to replace the whole thumbstick or just the rubber? And is it possible to make the lock-up tighter? And any opinions about replacing the whole shell?
Sorry if this is the wrong thread but I have no idea where to ask these questions and given that I'll be buying from AE, thought it would be a good match.

Another parcel of boring shit arrived.
Threaded inserts: nearly $80 of the stuff, but considering how a previous impulse buy of assorted inserts saved a very profitable project recently I don't mind the variety.
Washers: seem to go through these to some degree.
Two bags of assorted grommets: have never had a use for them, but might some day.
nylon washers: might find a use for them at some point, though I might still just use a strip of kapton tape if electrical conductivity is a concern.
Acrylic markers: not for me, they'll be a gift.
Mechanic melamine sponges: they're precut into 10mm cubes and function admirably. I've made a small container for these that's a permanent desk item.
box of o-rings: it's a box of o-rings.
star shaped ptfe tube: single linear length of tube will become a series of tubes to be used with my 3d printer.
3d printer lamp: adding this to cart somehow reduced the total cart cost, so it was added.

Do you guys have any recommendations on chinese SSDs that fit inside a Steam Deck? Something that's okay enough is more than fine, brand-name ones are really badly priced on my end
Also, any KVM switches that are good on sites like Ali and whatnot?
>>
>>108988770
>know anything about nintendo Switches and joy-cons?
Nope!
You're likely best off opening the joycon and replacing the lock and thumbstick. Individual sticks are cheap (for other controllers at least), and aftermarket stick caps aren't something I've looked into but afaik they're usually intended to fit over the standard cap instead of replace it.
Shell swaps that I've looked at don't include sticks or locks, so you'd still need to buy those separately.
>>
>>
>>108988770
I just switched to TMR sticks and a metal joy-con lock, just replace the whole stick anon, it's only like $5 for TMR and it will never drift, just don't lose the spring for the lock (or buy a kit that comes with extra springs and the small metal bracket that holds it in)

the cables in the joycons are generally hard to reach and it's a huge qol boost. and i said ceramic because i blew up the ant shit sized 0402 fuse in a joycon before with steel tweezers and if you cant do microsoldering you're cooked

All my gamecube shit from Taobao arrived at my house. The way they handle consolidation/international shipping is actually pretty cool. The seller just ships it to the Taobao warehouse with whichever courier they would normally use then they put the parcel in a bag and send it to you. Pretty different from what I'm used to with getting stuff from Japan using zenmarket where they open the parcels to consolidate them.

You could offer to be a drop off site. Buy a very small commercial property, sign up to every site and you get paid commission for it. This might be the easiest option but also costly if you don’t know how much people would pay to drop off vs delivery at home.

Chang will probably buy some massive warehouses inside of the EU and ship a few thousand tons of chinkshit into these warehouses, then sell from there.
No other way to do it really, the EU pushed this shit policy 20-years too late.
>>
>>
>>108996217
I got the $50 once in earlier times. If there's one constant with aliexpress its that the big promos never last very long. It makes buyers remorse even worse cause I feel like there's pressure to pick something good so the discount isn't wasted.
When I was trying last week the gem page wouldn't load. Nothing but a black screen. It loaded a few minutes after reset time. The $50 showed as still available for a minute or so. Probably until the app synced with servers. I think there's some sort of lock out system that prevents most people from being able to even try to exchange gems. Probably doesn't even send anything to the server.

No, look up technical reviews of the hardware you want and see if it fits your needs.
At this point a lot of Chi-fi stuff is great for what it costs. That makes people seethe because they feel like good audio shouldn't be cheap.
>>
>>
>>109001224
in theory, you are correct, in reality, if i had a dollar for how much both poorfags and audiophiles engage in buyers remorse, various degrees of coping and insecurity, and lie to themselves about how good/bad shit sounds, this is a literal minefield of bad advice. You gotta balance tech-reviews, audiophile reviews, customer reviews etc and figure out the truth that is somewhere in the middle.
I looked up tech-reviews for my pc speakers, Pebble-Creative Pros, got good reviews for the price, and i have them, and i like the sound, they're good all-round speakers.
But when i posted in a battlestation thread, holy shit some guy absolutely sperged the fuck out that i boughted them and was literally raging at me, claiming they were dogshit compared to 'any mini-tower speaker combo'. Lmao.

found one of them chink scam SSD's at the dump, has anyone tried to hack these to display a custom size? here is the content of the non labeled SD card:

here is the program i used to compress the 128GB .img file (the first 64K of witch is included in the catbox archive, rest of the card seemed empty):
the only chip on the board is a "cbm2199s" that i can find promo info on, but no pinout/datasheet... seems to have a pinout for an EMMC nand chip witch i find kinda odd but understandable as they speak almost the same language as SD cards do
>>
File: Screenshot (265).png (605.9 KB)
>>109004643
and it does the usual locking up reading past 128GB, but that is to be expected as the controller is hacked to report 1.90TB instead of 128GB, but the SD card if removed and put in a normal reader can be read, dumped or written to just fine, better screenshot of the target

i though it would be funny to make it say "YOU GOT SCAMMED!" in the drive name with a fake capacity of 13.37TB lol, but changing the content of the SD card (like changing the name bytes) makes the controller flip the fuck out and sets the "no media" flag
