Well, Cowboy Bebop itself uses Film Noir and American Jazz / Swing Era influences. The space ships look like they are heavily influenced by WW2 era warships and planes.
Those elements are transplanted into a Cyberpunk artstyle, which shows elements like lower color depth and images optimized for lower display resolutions, like what you would find on old CRT monitors.

I understand basics but for some reason the border and glow is not taking the same effect. I've even asked ai and it's cutting off the border glow. Should I keep messing with it?
I'd like to make the top right shape, which has three corners cut off, and the bottom left corner has a more cut shape in it.

It's been a while since I did anything in HTML/CSS, so it's rough shit. But it should work as a proof of concept on manually making a border for clip-path, which I used for the corners. Let me know if this has the same issue you were talking about, cause I still don't really know what exactly you meant.
Also, I'll admit it was much harder than I remember it being. Sorry for dismissing it as a trivial thing in my first post. Clip-path is a fucking awful property to work with...

It's alright I'm not exactly and expert at this. I returned to coding after a many years break and it has changed. I'll post my code when I get home but I just mean I want the container to have a border color, and a glowing border as well. I have this set on a rectangle but when adding clip path it cut the edges, so then I'm thinking how convoluted the code needs to be to show the border and glowing effects along the same shape. The property in css doesn't say glow it sets a border with a blur effect so it appears to be luminescent.

Just acid design. I can't stand anyone calling it 'brutalism' anymore. I spent the 2023 studying references on this exact style, thinking I was late on it because it was already been named.
Never would guess it would be posted on /gd/ years later and redditfags would be spamming it in r/GraphicDesign.
Shit, I might start publishing my ref studies from now on.
