It's pretty difficult for a series to transition from an h-one to being merely ecchi. Fate was able to do so, and Taimanin is kind of trending towards that direction now. But the difference is that those series started off as VNs. Their franchises weren't really sole proprietorships like Zettai Shoujo either.

There are some artists who transitioned from drawing hentai, to character designs, to creating original series in their own right. Inazuma comes to mind (pic related). I would assume Raita is satisfied with the current arrangement he's in. Making designs for Fate and periodically revisiting VC. While continuing to work on Zettai Shoujo. If he had any aspirations of creating a brand new plot-focused series, he would have likely done it by now (or working on VC already fulfilled him on that front.)
