never seen anyone mention this here, but Pixiv is seriously cracking down on artists posting external links. even Jap artists posting links to DLsite, Melonbooks, Fantia and Fanza; and not even just loli/"""problematic""" artists, but fairly vanilla artists as well.
they started doing this back in summer 2023 immediately after the BBC published some shitty hit-piece about Patreon where Pixiv was only tangentially mentioned. I'm almost certain it wasn't a coincidence: Pixiv lost their in-app payment options literally a few days later, made some announcements, and a few weeks later got their payment options back. (who the fuck actually uses the pixiv app idk, but apparently quite a lot of people. fuck apps.)
they've been policing artists posting external links ever since, although enforcement is spotty.
it's gotten much worse in the last ~4-ish months though; I've seen quite a few Jap artists complain on twitter about getting their accounts temporarily suspended and having to delete links or sometimes even the posts themselves. I know of more than a few that even had to wipe basically everything on their account and start over.
I'm sure Pixiv doesn't want to bother themselves with this crap. it's obviously pressure from Visa/Mastercard/Google pay/Apple pay/etc.
sucks because PIxiv was once a great place for artists to advertise their works for purchase; not anymore I guess. end of an era.
