The main advantage of AI Shoujo over HS2 is it gives more interaction options and dialogue with your girls. The building survival gameplay is clunky and rudimentary so it's not really worth it for that part. If you have the hard drive space it can be a fun little diversion but HS2 is better overall for the sex.

If you got the full version of repack 16 then everything contained within there should be working already. Your folder with repack 3.1 is basically your backup now. The main things to copy paste over would be the userdata folder (which has your character cards, outfits, and scene data) and maybe unique mods you got that aren't included in the repack.

Got to mess with ABMX offsets to shorten/lengthen the spine and other limbs as desired - my personal advice is to actually fuck with the sliders to get the desired leg length and then use ABMX to adjust the arms and spine as using ABMX to adjust the legs leads to having to adjust for all the floating/clipping it'll cause with the ground and such

Hey mother fuckers I've been trying out some AU shoujo's studio recently after getting completely disappointed about the game's length a few months back and just have a few questions.
There's no way to move your residential island from singleplayer into studio, is there? I started to build in hope that I'd be able to do it but so far it seems like there's no way to do it making the residential island kinda useless imo.
Also is there a site where I could get studio assets like maps and background? I know that there's bepis for cards/scenes but haven't found any other site with good stuff.

It's unlikely it will be replaced unless a new program has AI automation for things like converting a regular image into a character model. The Plugin is updated, with new UI. I've changed the cubemap path once again too since it reset, and the cubemaps show up. I can click them, and it either says no cubemap selected even after clicking, or just loading cubemap.

Getting to figure Out what all the mods can and cant do will probably be the next step.
So far I hesitated from downloading the neo Studio cuz it Takes Up a Lot of disc storage.

Yes you can import animations people made in studio and replace the characters with your own. Check out the sites in the OP for scene images. They work similar to character cards where the png file has metadata. Stick them in the userdata/studio/scene folder and they'll show up when you open studio. You will likely have to make adjustments depending on how different your characters are from the ones in a scene but it's easier than starting from scratch if you're just starting out. You can get fancier once you figure out how studio works.

Unfortunately you're probably going to have to do some searching for individual mods since as far as I know there isn't really any centralized place to search after the big discord server got wiped and started over. I think [ailegend] and [sjjpl] had some animal related mods. You can also find scenes with what you want and then track down mods when you load the scene and see the names of the missing mods pop up.

I'm trying to find a decent replacement for pornified Skyrim, and I'm wondering if one of these games, or one of the other Illusion ones would be good for that.
Basically, something I can jump right into, pluck out some characters I've designed, and put them in a number of different scenarios.

Some key things I'm after, through mods potentially, are a POV camera option, compatible animations for lolis and shotas, multi-person animation sets, and lots of creature fucking. Dogs, Horses, Werewolves, Demons, Tentacle Monster, hopefully even some less popular ones like foxes, bears, or beholders.

Koikatsu might also be right for me, but I've had some trouble getting that game working right.
I'm on Linux, and this is a niche japanese game, so the difficulty of getting it to work goes up exponentially.

If you haven't already, update your Skin Overlay plugin to at least version 6.2

The latest Repack only has 6.1.x and the plugin itself is actually on 7.1.2

Sometimes reloading can help. Also sometimes modders might make a map as a studio item rather than a map so it shows up in the items list instead of the maps list.

HS1 mods allowed me to simulate female-on-female intercourse, but HS2 only gives me a (sad) selection of lesbian options. I installed mods and tried the "Replace Default Male Character" option with several adjusted cards... Every time, it loads female clothing meshes onto a male...my Hero character is an ugly tranny with a strapon and I hate it. Haven't spent a lot of time in Studio Neo, but is there a way to have a female Hero as the main player?? All of these gameplay options are wasted on just a male MC and I hate having to look at male bodies in my hentai fantasy game. Any tips? Or should I just change my expectations by drinking until the Hero looks feminine???

Do you have a Launcher application? You might be able to disable Hanmen shaders and see if that is the source of your problem. I don't really use them because I had different issues (butt geometry locked to a spot in space an infinite distance away). I'm just running vanilla mods for now like sliders and DHH for graphics. Posing and screenshotting your Studio Neo scenes is about the best that this game is meant for, aside from the VR experience (which is awesome).

I got the chink VR glasses. Never going back to meta, ever. The quest used to work back when I bought it, then repeated updates made it more and more unusable.
Step by step it wouldn't startup and connect without internet, updates make it forget everything, keeps losing the boundary and settings, now we're there that the video player app wouldn't play videos without internet. I hope they go bankrupt...
The new one just works no hassle. Of course I'm going to make sure it never sees internet, I don't want to fall into an update trap again, and I don't want Xi to watch me fap.

The big zip file is the entire game which is functional once unzipped and comes loaded with a lot of mods and patches already so don't mess around too much with it until you understand more about how to install and replace plugins and mods. Some of the info in those guides and update links are a bit dated at this point so be warned. HS2 modding structure is mostly simple to add/remove additional mods. By default the major mods that add outfits, maps, and other objects are in the mods folder.

For that Marie Rose mod you linked, note that the zip file has a mods and userdata folder. You simply drop those into your main HS2 folder and the mods and card should be added. You can put them into subfolders for more organization once you understand the basics. UserData/chara/female is where your female cards are stored. Usually a quick google search is enough to find the missing mods so make a note of the name and possible modder name to search. Also note that if you boot the game from InitSetting.exe you have a couple more settings you can mess around with.

The discord server linked in OP is probably the biggest "main" English speaking discord and it has a lot of mods and other info linked. I recommend joining at least for the ease of having a lot of stuff in one convenient place. You can just lurk and get what you need. There was a fairly recent incident that resulted in the server getting wiped clean but it's recovered.

Thank you for this info, it was quite useful. I could get her as a character after pasting the files in the zip right there, but for whatever reason I can't find this "UserData" folder there.
For now, the normal "Marie Rose" hairstyle actually fit her, so I just changed that and her clothes. I guess I'll keep trying until I realize how the saving of costumes work.
I don't think I'll create a discord account to join (I tried that cesspool long ago and didn't really like it) but thank you for the info too.

The userdata folder should be in the main folder. That's where all your personalized stuff will be saved so definitely figure out where it is and how it works. It should be something like in this image. The discord server is useful but I feel you on not wanting to join. Just keep it in mind in case other resources and sites aren't enough for you anymore. For now just tinkering with the game is plenty.

Studio is the posing software that's included with the game. You can boot it up through StudioNEOV2.exe or through InitSetting.exe. Starting it up through InitSetting is recommended since that lets you activate the additional graphics plugin settings (graphicsmod or dhh). Most of the images you see from the game are made with Studio.

If it's the repack then yeah it should run from the directory rather than needing to install. Only thing to keep in mind is it's recommended to put it somewhere where the file path isn't too long since that can cause more lag.

Weird things are going on at yuki portal in the OP links. It's currently being spammed by some sort of bot posting a bunch of AI generated ads in various languages. It seems to have gone into overdrive and now 150+ pages are completely overrun with this slop spam. The numbers just keep going up as if there's no limit or cooldown on posting. Also it feels like no one's moderating because this started up a couple days ago but looks like it went into warp speed today. I'm going to be annoyed if this makes the site go down since a lot of good stuff shows up on there.

Yeah you can use those graphics plugins in the main game too but it takes a little more effort to set up so I usually leave them off if I boot up the main game and turn it on when I boot up studio.

I'm coming from Koikatsu Sunshine, and found HS2 studio comparatively clunky. I used Better Repack and Sideloader pack for both. I had some issues like the clothing box being very small (also a KKS issue to be fair), not being able to filter out certain items like clothes in the character maker, and what seemed to be more limited FK/IK movement than KKS, not having sliders for certain things like foot size (possible I missed but I don't think so). Is this just the state of the game even with mods, or can anyone recommend how to improve the character maker/studio experience?

Some of the facial options definitely can make a big difference. You could also try some head mods. I think the repack should have the DBLin western faces included which have more distinct and sharper features compared to the defaults. Small warning though, some head mods like the DBLin ones may not be fully compatible with the main game such as not properly changing facial expressions. It's not much of an issue if you're mainly using studio. Other than that just be more experimental with pushing the sliders to the extremes.

Idk if that's what you mean but you can make the face look less fat by adjusting cheeks, and pick "gaunt cheeks" in wrinkles for that bony face look.
I think most faces don't look western because they are not long enough and the eye line is always lower than half of the head, you should aim for the eyes to be about in the middle. I do it by lowering the jaw height a lot, adjusting "upper height" in overall face settings and "eye vertical".
Finally, you mess with "lower depth", jaw and chin depth setings to make the profile look better, most characters I've seen have severely receding jawlines and pushing it out makes your character look much more nordic immediately.
