Actually yeah it would be enough, even if a video is private, Iwara claims to actually have all the videos, and any user can see the stats of a private video, just not the video itself.
So you can build a DB out of everything.
It's actually fairly easy to scrape all that info, but I'm betting that nobody would do it and just hope Iwara won't fuck up again (They will).
Problem is that Iwara can't trust a DB made by some random person on the internet.
If you run things yourself, you know your DB isn't tampered with, but DB is basically just text, if some random anon made it, they could just mark a bunch of privated videos as public.
The only real solution, is for someone to make a public DB, not give a shit about whether something is private or not and scrape all the videos they can and make that into a public torrent.

No I don't think this will change anything. We didn't learn from the PornHub purge, the E621 purge or the small purges that happen constantly on every platform.
Humans in general are coping and thinking that surely there won't be a 999999999999th time something gets taken down.
That in combination with a lot of people probably thinking like you or "someone will back it up, so I don't have to".
We should try harder to at the very least, back up things we like, and share that data with something permanent like a torrent.

Quest 3 is absolutely amazing, at least the normal Quest 3, dunno about the downgraded 3S.
Just be aware that battery sucks fucking ass unless you strap on a powerbank which you have to do some custom shit to attach unless you're willing to pay a premium.
If it's your first time with VR, consider borrowing from someone or maybe buying a used Oculus CV1.
While it's much lower quality, it gives you a feel for VR, though it's more cumbersome to set up as it's wired and uses base stations for tracking.
And don't get discouraged if you get nauseous like so many complain about, in most cases you get used to VR and won't notice it after having used it for a while.
It really fucking sucks that it's almost impossible (at least here) to get a regular Quest 3 with less than 512GB storage, only 3S being sold with lower storage.
I have the 128GB version and it's plenty of storage unless you absolutely need to have many games installed at once (You don't).
Many games you'll actually have stored on your PC anyways and it'll be streamed over the internet so it won't take up storage on the VR headset.

If you're already interested then yeah probably. Properly done VR MMD is generally a straight upgrade to normal MMD, as it suits dance videos really well. Its good for sex too but, those don't always translate as well as dance videos do so they need to be made with VR in mind.

But the biggest issue with VR MMD is there's an incredibly small amount of people making it. Which means there's a chance that even if you like it, you might not find anyone making the kind of videos you want to see. So if that's your reason for buying it, it might be a good idea to check out the people currently making it and get an idea if that's the sort of stuff you want to watch in VR.

I feel as if everything should be covered in the guide. But if I remember correctly ミュー's videos don't get automatically set properly like most do and require manual adjustment. Those adjustments will save and be used the next time you play it though.

The large majority of videos are 180, not 360, as 360 is a worthless and massive waste of bitrate for VR porn. Off the top of my head only つらら ever used it and he offers 180 versions now anyway.

ミュー's videos should look and work fine with no other changes besides setting equirectangular and side by side. If you've accidently adjusted any other settings, be sure to reset them.

The wackiness is probably from MMD starting off as a dance animation software. Then it progressed over time from stripping -> sexdance -> sex. Sex dance is already a strange concept for those not familiar with MMD. Which I think influenced the general MMD scene to explore some unusual scenarios and have dramatic motions.
Plus, being a relatively easy to use animation software makes it easier to think of a random idea and start working on it. Instead of messing around on Blender for hours before learning how to do a simple movement.

Is p415 and FacePlan really it when it comes to VR videos featuring kissing? p415 is the gold standard but it seems like they made like a handful of videos and disappeared, and only 2 of those have it. In my experience, people just stopped uploading without anything explanation is pretty common (Even worse if they decide to delete their whole existence and their works with them that's why I downloaded videos of every creators I). There could many things that can be the cause but it's 90% of the time is mostly burnout and lack of interest in making mmds.

Afterall porn mmd is a "niche" community and people just come and go as they like. Like a fleeting dream, lasting but a moment.
