I've got another confession to make
I am a long time Azur Lane player who isn't satisfied with the game's direction since 2024, so I took it upon myself to send commissions of varying lewdness as anon to various Azur Lane fanartists, for characters with chests that aren't so comically huge, in an attempt to spread fanart for them across the internet and flood the fanart space, and expose more people to smaller chested characters. I am just one anon though, and even I can only request so much fanart at a time.
My strategy was to go for many different characters who are less popular or have smaller chests, as long as they are still somewhat curvy, but I am questioning if a more effective strategy would be to hyperfocus on a singular AL character with medium/small boobs and spam commissions for her of varying degrees of lewd, and then have people notice the sudden influx of fanart for one character. I'm not doing this for myself really; I'm trying to expose AL fans to more modest-chested botes and grab their attention.

This also reflects in my choice of artists, as I specifically look for those who draw with good quality and reposts skeb deliveries to their other accounts, and have strong followings of AL fans, if I don't just request through pixiv.

Maybe I should start sending more requests to AL artists who usually draw botes with massive tits, and have massive followings, that force them to draw smaller chested botes?

You can't force unpopular characters or properties to be popular by porn, anon, especially in the era of AI. If someone wants to crank it to a fat fucking pair of tits they have no real connection to, they have too many to choose from, and aren't likely to get attached to characters from a game they have not played and likely never will, especially with how much competition there is in the gacha space. You'd need a massive single push to make the property relevant, and I can't think of anything besides an entirely new game (preferably a real one) managing to do that a legacy property in such a crowded space.

Just keep grinding at it and post it wherever it's allowed. Make a twitter and share it there too. Once you upload to danbooru make sure to link your twitter post as the source. With enough posts and time passing people who care for it will find you. It's happening with me with a much less popular game so it can work for you. Do a lot of searching on r34 and gelbooru for "small_breasts and commission". I also like to check the "hot" tab on danbooru sometimes for artists. In all seriousness though, you really should prioritise your own enjoyment of these comms more than anything else.
Despite loving big girls I have a similar dissatisfaction with how it started being almost the only thing they focused on putting out after a certain point, though I also feel like any of the kind of fans you'd be hoping to convince have already had their time and either left by now or have stuck around but resigned themselves to seeing AL as a titcow only game now.
