Is he the only good history guy on youtube? He's interested in history, has an education in it, and has the self-awareness and ability to give impartial commentary and keep an open mind. I wish /his/ actually had more people also interested in history.

The thing with this idea is, can you be sure the channel is actually higher quality, or is the niche nature of the subject making you unable to grasp it properly?
The less you know about a subject, the easier it is for someone to pass as an expert in it. The more niche a subject is, the less likely you know enough about it to notice bullshitters.
At the same time, the more niche something is, the less is actually required to be an expert in it, since any obsessed autist is automatically going to end up pretty far right on the expertise curve through sheer lack of interest from everyone else, so eh.
