Why is it humiliating to thank God? He is good and gave salvation from hell, the punishment of our sins as a free gift to us unless we WANT to reject the truth and refuse His gift, opting for only what you want instead, a lie.

You did something wrong, and God would rather show you mercy than wrath, and He paid the price for it Himself. Why would thanking Him be humiliating or self-deprecating? I'm not OP, but even I could have designed a much better universe than Yahweh/Yaldabaoth. It is Yahweh/Yaldabaoth that has a huge ego if he thinks his world full of pain and suffering is something I should be grateful for. Nothing to celebrate about a world where people die of disease for no reason and people get raped. If I'm doomed to go to Hell for not being a happy little slave, then so be it.
