how im trying to learn anatomy is trace basic shapes over the ref and copy a couple times and make improvements, and then try draw pose from memory. is this an ok way to go about it? should i be more specific w the shapes? im very early in this method like 3 days so bare w me but i wanna make sure what im doing is useful. i try do it atleast a cpuple times a day as a warmup and then draw sometjimh after if i can be assed 2

It's a good plan. while drawing, try to take mental(or write it down) notes about lengths of limbs in comparison to other body parts.
Dave Rapoza did this sort of thing, copying and drawing from memory. he would copy one thing upwards of 14 times(like an arm from bridgeman or loomis)
