How are online artists supposed to improve and better themselves when no one critiques them or gives them helpful feedback? Worse when they don't heed to actual help.

> whiner mentality
Drawing is observation and not a collective work. If an artist is their best and harshest critique, they will eventually figure what's wrong without any external input. Whenever they stay motivated to keep going on long enough to improve is another issue. If an artist need a random (you) to critique their art to figure out what's wrong, it meant they are not observant enough to actually improve.

Dude it is so much worse. What the fuck is going on where his right hand is holding his hip? That is not how bodies work. Also the head looks like it had half the effort of the body and is tacked on like a cardboard cutout.
You baiting?

Most famous artists didn't do that retarded bullshit. Most successful artists are self-taught.
Pathetic no-draw spotted.
You'll never escape beg, sad fuck. Enjoy wasting money on your hug box while you are being fed cal-arts slop! If you even have money to waste, Pedro.

The anatomy in pic two is correct. It just feels stiffer and uncanny because 1) they traced over a 3D model. 2) The anime face look way more flat than the rest. That other anon is right. If it's hard to say if the artist improved as far as anatomy or volume goes since the 3D model is doing all the heavy lifting here.Their lineart is more confident and their coloring is better. Small improvement is still improvement.

Most artist don't go to an art school (which teach you methods, not self-improvement) and even less than that are lucky enough to have mentor (who usually pick talented people). Being self-reliant is key for an artist. That's not to say there is no value to a critic but you've got to learn to be picky about them or surround yourself with people you trust for their judgement. Which is also easier said than done.

You have to develop a critical self-eye. And stop blaming others for your stagnation.

this assumes that constant improvement for the sake of improvement is the goal for every artist; this is not the case. a lot of people just want to become proficient enough that they can bring their ideas to life. having something to say is a lot more important than pure technical skill, even if that message is "i am gay and i love big dicks"
