I do make comics with pen and ink but never worked professionally.
the big two do not care about traditional vs digital, they both publish plenty of stuff done with either medium.

Well majority of comics/manga have moved to online viewing. The only selling physical copies are from big brands and so its a corporate ladder/portfolio route for that. online for the generic twitter space however the benefit for traditional vs digital is marginal, small. You get a little
More validity but thats all. If u want comics/manga on a site for that. Make the art traditional then upload it online as a scan that is the correct path. The only reason i do traditional is because i am better at it, love the feeling of it. One amazing thing with traditional is. You can sell the physical copies, and they will go much higher than for a print. But think about it anon? Who have been the most famous artists past 5 years? Almost all traditional. You have a higher ceiling.

Aren't scholastic books still very financially successful? If so, then yes, kids still read books, but it seems the kids aren't moving beyond that early reading level.

Comics are way too slow for kids raised on 5 second micro memes being played at warp speed on their tablets in infinite succession while an equally vapid cartoon blares on the TV in their peripheral vision

The gangster frankenstein controls have taken full effect. The eye sight radio has even conquered the skulls of white pedigree males.

Why would you dedicate yourself to only print comics? Anything you can print you can put online too.
