I do pixel art. I'm not that good at it, but I'm definitely better than some other artists. However, I can't find a community and I can't grow my audience at all. I'm using bluesky, X, instagram, but it's all the same and I barely have any interaction with my posts.
I don't really want attention or being told how awesome I am, but I want somebody to see and comment on what I'm doing.
Additional question - where do you guys find any communities for discussions and/or critique? All I can find is some insufferable leftist discords where everything's full of low-effort nsfw/lgbt art and mind-melting political discussions. I just wanna talk about pixels with somebody :(

Back when I was a gamedev pixel artist I would be getting somewhere around 200 likes a post
Things that always do well
>trees
>run cycles
>isometric buildings
>fanart of a game but in pixelart
>buildings / set pieces
>clouds

nobody cares about pixel art besides other pixel autists, who are largely going to be tranny-coded weirdos, it is what it is
if you want attention from normal people, you need to contextualize the pixel art in a medium, be that animation, video game or whatever
