The opposite, to draw anime you need to learn anatomy, perspective, coloring, etc, all the fundies all of them. And then you need to stylize them, anime is the ultimate barrier skill.

Good anime/manga artists have the ability to draw almost everything. A good western artist not only is rare but they always narrow themselves into their own unique snowflake "style" , this is the truth, this is why most western artists are garbage.
