I like your art but I have to ask, what is it with furries and garish colours?
>>
>>7872981
I'm not a furry. This is giving me Pinata vibes.
But it's well drawn.
>>
>>7872982
personally ive always loooved bright colors and anything colorful, so ofc i reflect that inmy art. i would just rather look at something colorful than something dull, u know?
>>
>>7872983
wait aww thats so cute
>>
>>7872993
nta, but most mammals are dull colored.
It’s actually fish that are vibrantly colored and undergo sex change in their lives but people don’t seem to anthropomorphize them
>>
>>7873000
ive seen plenty of fishsonas, but ur right , mammals r much more common!!
>>
>>7873000
Don't forget frogs, too! That and snakes, lizards, etc. Birds are also colorful, but somehow that's a niche to do as your persona. If I was a furry, I'd be a fucking toucan. Also, why are there no monkey furries? Orangutans are fucking sick.
>>
>>7873017
toucans r cool af!!! love the noises they make !!!! with their beak !!!!!! tatakakakakakakakka
>>
>>7872981
Even if I told you what's wrong with your art, you wont listen to my advice.
>>
>>7873071
why is that ? im genuinely looking for advice here, and if u have expereience drawing animals/ furries it would be greatly apreciayed
>>
i am almost done with the drawing now since i got no actual feedback i assumed it looked fine :p
>>
>>7872993
This is actually just at the limit to be still good. There are some furfaggots that use extreme saturaturation.
>>
Needs a second cartilage ridge on the inside I think
>>
>>7873102
thank u !
>>
>>7873109
it actually is there just hudden behind the horns :< i can try and make it more prominent ?
>>
>>7873083
Draw with a simple hard round brush no opacity. No textures, no palettes, basic square/round brush, no opacity, no guides. Only then you'll see your deficiencies.
>>
most updated vers . made ears biggerr and more visible , also rendered theb mouth
>>
>>7873177
Very nice, I feel lime the darker background also fits a bit better
>>
>>7872981
Try rendering it with light that isnt straight down, it makes the neck shadow a little confusing, to me atleast. Looks a bit flat since its straight on, you can always draw the subject from another perspective. Otherwise its good and I can see the money in it.
>>
>>7873304
Will do !! I agree, the neck seems flat . Will update when I’m off campus and back home! ^_^
>>
>>7872981
There's a furry art general you newfag
>>
>>7873528
BLEHHHH WHATEWVER!!!! i come to ic by habit ! let me live !
>>
>>7873158
i love this type of beg bait lmfao
>>
>>7873177
I like this so I'll help.
>increase contrast
>make colors mor vibrant/saturated
>define shadows and light
>simplify details into bigger shapes (For example teeth, fur tufts, hair

nta, i like the textures, but it's far too saturated and high contrast. I think OP's values could use a little more refining, but not in this manner. Then again, maybe this is what's considered good in the furry community? I'm not exactly aware of the cultural tastes

very rough draft but tried to push values and change light direction a bit :3 thoughts?
>>
>>7873696
she is purposfully very saturated in colorful, shes like a satirical mary sue
>>
>>7873733
It looks good but uncanny because your lighting almost looks like as if though you're referencing a 3d model. Kind of like a stylistic clash between realism and subject matter, but solid
>>
>>7873736
i agree with the uncanny thing , i did the lighting suer fast so it doesnt fit the artstyler and is too smooth . smooth on textured. looks off . will refine !

Highly textured and well lit tongue. You're into vore.
>>
>>7873830
i actually am not into vore i just like putting detail into stuff but yeah i can see. the . correlation
>>
>>7873828
tysm !! im very happy with the improvment ! to think this is what it looked like two days ago
>>
>>7873836
Yep that's how it goes lol. Going from rough sketches to polish like that over a few days just shows that you're at a pretty solid skill level. You rarely get rough sketches that look like finished products until you're at a pro level. And then they can somehow extract so much polish and rendering from what already looked like a completed piece so nuts. Anyways, keep it up!
>>
>>7873841
tysm!!! ^_^ goodnight every pony thank u for helping me
>>
>>7872981
you seem to have fun painting, how did you get there bro?
>>
>>7874094
ive been drawing all my life , but ive spent most of it drawig with lineart. ive always felt suepr restricted with lineart cuz it give it som precedent to be "clean" and i prefer textured art . i caught myself thinking "i wish i didnt have to do lineart " and then iw as like wait. i can just. not do it .
allowing myself to be messy with the process and doing it mainly on one layer and editing things as i go has made the proicess so much more enjoyable
