There's a certain lack of autism/lack of brainrot you need to do things like this. An example that always amazes me is the guy John Knoll who modeled the entirety of the Millennium Falcon. All 185,000 polygons. During a time where most 3d models were around 100 polygons, 1000 if they were very high end. There's something novel about teaching your brain delayed gratification in a world of instant gratification.

The modern version of MS Paint(not the based XP version) actually does have some utility. Like what typical users use is just the standard brush and maybe spray paint tool but it does have like a caligraphy brush, Oil paint brush, and watercolor brush and so on. If you have the patience to work with it, it is a capable tool, but again people go to MS Paint mostly for Oekaki stuff

I still semi-regularly use Deluxe Paint, which is about the same age, what you should be asking how anyone gets anything done with Microsoft software, but, people throughout ages have made great art with limited tools, it's not some uncommon miracle. It was always about the artist, not the tools.

I saw it the other day, it got pretty famous. That piece by @okmo09 is actually good, but I’m really impressed by the others that use more colors. I asked him about his process and he said it’s a matter of patience. I also asked if he uses the version with layers, and he said no, which really surprised me
