adobe animate is finally dead. I guess csp or toonboom is the only option left...

>Adobe, much like any other silicon company, fell off after they changed their president to a filthy jeet.
Latetly photoshop been lagging like crazy to me, i swear this happened after they added their AI garbage. I hate jeets so fucking much i might actually stop using the product.

And so and so on. Paying monthly to have Adobe just break your fucking program(and now just removing it completely haha) was always bullshit. Like I use MonkeyJam personally and despite it being some small dinky program that can only do 6 seconds of animation it just fucking works

This actually does make me a little sad, I spent a good part of my teens fooling around in flash, and I dreamed of becoming an animator - it's probably what played the biggest hand in getting me into drawing.
What alternatives are there really that are like flash? Rive looks promising, but the don't allow sound importing in their free tiers, and they're a subscription service (so hard pass).

I think because adobe killed the ubiquity of the program. Previously, if you wanted to draw, animate, make games, make websites, near anything, flash was the answer.
However, because adobe were daft useless cunts and allowed shockwave (flash player) to become a slow vulnerable mess, they essentially killed that ubiquity. Flash could no longer be used for websites, or for games... it all sort of unraveled from there.
Since flash animations weren't supported natively in the browser anymore, it made other animation options more enticing in that category as well.

>(singular cause they all rook the same)
Could you not work out how to change the brushes? This is one of the most oddly specific and incorrect opinions I think I've read. I mean, sure each brush's similarity to one another can be a subjective thing, but for your subjective opinion to be this... it's like arguing that human excrement actually tastes good... it's just so against the grain it HAS to be objectively wrong.
Anyway, enough shit-posting on 4chan, adobe slave. Shantanu Narayen has shit himself again and needs a good wiping.

Actually, looking them up again, it looks like they allow for sound imports in their free tier too now - so if your looking for a vector animation program sort of similar to flash, I guess this looks like a pretty good option.

It has a pencil and a Pen, that's it, every single other pen is a variation of those two. Drawpile has more brushes than csp, if adobe keeps shitting itself because of some Indian CEO owns the company now then i'll move to drawpile.
Japan will soon be owned by Indians too so i don't expect the program to get any better.

It does matter. They all pursue enshitiffication a different way. The japanese do it in an intergenerational way making sure they can live it out and people won't really feel the pangs until 20 years from now. The chinese do it spreading shit so thin they can keep you jumping from brand to brand barely noticing they're all the same now and there's nowhere to run.
Indians enshitify things the worst because they use any position of authority to push their tribalism war further by only hiring from their own clan no matter how incompetent and incompatible their people are. It's the worst form of nepotism. And we already saw windows updates brick people's pcs due to this way to run things.

It's all functional to the pedophile cannibal organization that Epstein was serving. He had a hand in designing a lot of the enshitiffication we're living today. It gives Israel more power, and Indians are servile to their interests. Just look who the head of the FBI is.

>csp
Lmao, westoid shitters can't use csp. They can't draw frame by frame to save their pathetic lives. They use those weird ass skeletons or other hack methods to be able to do their """""""animations""""""" that's why western animation is so shit. It lacks soul, it lacks skill.

The cynic in me says they're only saying this so they don't get hit with a class action lawsuit for charging customers for a product they removed. The patches and bug fixed will be minimal, only to fulfill some legal requirement.

>This is a change
So they WERE planning on locking people out from their software and the files made with said software, but the big bad corpo had a change of heart... pfft.
If I ran a company that used the adobe suite, I'd be looking for alternatives immediately; you never know when adobe may just rug pull your software as well.

Yeah they've added lots of bloat in the recent versions. Just pirate one of the older versions, runs better since there is less background checks running all the time too.
In CC2022 v23.1.1 they added multithreaded compositing and GPU compositing, so you want the version or newer for best performance if you have modern hardware.

these companies all shifted to subscription services with the justification that they are providing ongoing support and improvements
removing the apps when they cease development is a clear indication that what they want is rent. the thought of a program being "done" and just working as is doesn't even cross their minds
seems like the social media uproar yesterday worked, though

>the thought of a program being "done" and just working as is doesn't even cross their minds
It does cost money and labor resources to maintain software over time. Security flaws are discovered every day and OS changes can break your app (thank you windows!), so you can't just leave an app unchanged forever. If there's a large userbase, then that makes maintenance even more important. If it was profitable to keep up maintenance, then they wouldn't have tried to shutdown the app.

>CSP is shit
It can be good, a few decent anime have been made in it, so it's a industry tested product, but it's definitely not like flash.
For starters, having to make a new layer for each frame is fucking shit. The layout is incredibly unintuitive as well... but maybe my time using flash spoiled me, and I can't get used to animation programs that are merely half decent.
Granted, I haven't deep dived into CSP's animation features, so maybe it's better and more intuitive than I remember?

It does matter
Every companies that are being touched by jeet ceo have jeet scam-selling model if not jeet culture implementation in there. I can name some of them: adobe, google, microsoft, but we'll go with adobe this time
Adobe started their subscription based model after they put jeet ceo in charge where you didnt own your software but you paid for it; they claimed that subscription-based model is 'essential' for constant updates, fix, and sapport, but in reality no one give a single fuck about those bullshit and empty 'updates' because no one need those updates to begin with. But adobe keep 'advertising' those empty bloated updates and unnecessary new features because, much like pajeet sales culture, they had to promise something (promise, not sell). They need to keep inventing empty concept and ideas and try to sell them to their users, much like those pajeet webm when a white tourist comes to their shithole and that tourist are getting surrounded by jeets that tried to sell credit cards or iphones or something. If there's no trouble then they will create that trouble for you; this is the reason why, when they ran out of ideas or scenario, they just simply eliminate that software instead of just 'selling them' because they are running out of scam ideas to sell them and there's nothing to be sell even if the product was there. Imagine one of these jeets comes to you and say:
>sarr buy my software saarr you pay cheap sarr but you not have software sar you just renting from me sarr, its necessary for updates sarr, also have AI sarr my cousin gupta works on ai development sarrr
>sarr i pull the animate software back sar, i cant implement more feature sarrr, yes i can do that sarr, you dont own software sarr, i own software sarr
Sounds horrible, but the good news is people protested to their jeet ass about animate and they got cornered like a rats and apologized for it to avoid trouble, and now animate is back in the market.
