You get fined if you don't recycle properly

i’m not anti-recycling thoughbeit. it’s just that in america we have two, maybe three bins: one is trash, one is recycling, and SOMETIMES you have a second, separate bin for glass

to be precise, you don't get fined by the law, but the waste disposal company sends a bill in the mail.

Plenty do. But we're no longer savages so we got rid of landfills. Pretty much everything gets either recycled, burnt or turned into biofuel. We even buy trash from Italy because we don't have enough trash to burn.

People dont recycle much here
There are countless different bins and only the mixed rubbish bins get filled I'd say 90-95% of the tenants throw all their rubbish in the mixed rubbish bins
Personally I separate bio waste because the mixed rubbish bin in my flat is so big if I throw bio waste there it starts to smell in couple days while the rubbish bin isnt even half full so it is easier to throw bio waste in another bin
