I watched 1 episode and gave up quickly because it was so booring...
but then I watched(yes watched) life is strange 10 hour gameplay in youtube and liked it so I guess it was a pacing issue because the game pretty much lifted quite a lot from twin peaks

Yeah, I was surprised my boomer dad knew it. I watched it in 2017 to prepare for The Return and instantly fell in love with it. Season 1 is a masterpiece but I got completely lost in Season 2.

I first watched it in 2023, the early '90s vibe that caught my interest the most. When I opened the first episode of the 3rd season and realised it hadn't been filmed in the '90s I was so disappointed, I didn't know the series had been cancelled back then. I never watched season 3 and I don't think I will.

you're right but it was pretty niche for our generation. the only other people I knew who liked it were parents of friends. also x files was still shown on tv here long after it's initial run. twin peaks was not
