you mean plants? yes. they're all pretty low or completely lack many nutrients. vegetarian is doable if you eat lots of dairy and eggs but not ideal. you can literally see the difference in development and stature across indian populations according to animal product consumption.

Vegetables are just water with some carbs I know. I thought vegan was like coconut/soy milk etc and some other exotic stuff.
But ive seen tall vegetarians. Everyone is a vegetarian here (speaking for hindus) Here if people say they eat "naan veg" it means they have no religious obligations to neglect meat (or they ignore such obligations) but most people eat meat like once a week or so. Not a meaningful amount
