I like the whole mess of the Yakuza stuff on the background and how she tried to carry it (even feeling guilty due to the positition she ended up in) and help others with what she can do, rather than lashing out on others over her problems.

If anything I'm disappointed R07 doesn't seem to want to touch on this with a ten foot pole. I thought her disappearing even during Watanagashi in Gou might be related to some family complications, especially with the conflict in a family meeting in the credits, but there was nothing, just the line about being busy with school after all.

And then Reiwa just completely removed her position as the successor and gave it to Akane, and then even split the Sonozaki yakuza into a separate family, just to not actually deal with the initial set up around Mion's character. It's frustrasting she has set up for a good story, but R07 is too cowardly to touch on it nowadays.

There are a million and one reasons why someone might love Satoko more than anything, maybe it's her cute outfit or her radiant smile, maybe it's how sweet and kind she really is beneath her mask she puts on, maybe it's seeing her will power in action enduring Shions torture to the very end refusing to let herself be weak even if it is a brutal flaw in her character.
Satoko is a little girl enduring a hell no one her age should ever face, and yet despite how much she's been hurt and how much heartbreak she's had to deal with she's still someone who's kind and understanding going out of her way to check up and grow close to the new boy Keiichi. Finished Tsumihoroboshi yesterday. Probably my favorite chapter so far, but maybe that's because Rena was my favorite since the beginning. The last few chapters were so intense that I kept reading them for like 8 hours straight until I hit the ending. I liked the ending and the final fight, but the disaster happening right after it makes everything meaningless and really pissed me off.

He even talks in the Higurashi's author notes for Minagoroshi he only ended up giving the answers because he knew people would get disappointed and angry if there wasn't a clear answer and also that there were already too many series that ended with ambiguous endings.

Years ago I patched Umineko with just Kinzo sprites and changed every name to Kinzo, with the exception of Ange, Okonogi and Amakusa.
My theory was that it was just Kinzo alone on the island being totally schizo so I made it real. Ange is in 1998 so I decided she was really Ange.
I am wondering how bad it would look if I swap all Satoko sprites in Higurashi for Kinzo and change the name. This time just because.
