This general is for discussing Japanese Mobile Games that don't have their own dedicated general elsewhere. Occasionally some Chinese and Korean games will be discussed too.

I warned you about chinkshitters ruining the thread with off-topic nonsense but none of you listened. Nice to be proven right once again.

Compass has had a small update today - main content is the release of the revamped hero challenges which now feature streamlined and improved rewards along with the ability to complete them in co-op. There's also a special event challenge available until the 23rd of February - beating the final stage (I believe the enemies have their deck level at 320) will reward you with a meagre 100BM.
For other news, the Irregular event is back with new costumes for Thomas, Kitsunegasaki, Thorne and Noire. All of them can be encountered and obtained in the event challenge battle.
There will be a news stream this weekend - hopefully we should get some information on First who should be releasing in February.
That's all for now!

Let me rephrase that little bro, so that your brain can understand. Would you feel safe spending money on the game again, knowing there is a very real risk of your whole credit card credit getting maxed out? Even if it gets refunded, maybe you need it right now and not in 5 business days, because, say, your car or computer broke down and you need those for work. Or your mom got into an accident. But nope, the stupid chink devs maxed out your card.
Would you feel safe spending on the game in the near future?
>>
>>50604540
I'd have like $3k worth of free rolls, I wouldn't need to spend again before I dropped the game. That's what you're not getting. The game is fucked but the ones who got charged basically get to play for actual free and not just f2p.

>>50604633
Then why the fuck did you reply to me? That literally was my question
>>
>>
>>50604651
Because the post talks about whales. Also people who just buy the monthly are more likely to keep playing which then increases the chances of them spending.
Also the issue was limited to just one payment method. People might not trust the PayPal option for now but would still use the others.
>>
>>
>>50604773
I can't speak for China but from having a quick scan I don't see reports of issues for other payment methods including Apple Pay. If they were present I would expect them to surface pretty quickly so I wouldn't be concerned about using them
>>
>>
>>50606144
I feel like that's the least of their problems. The game simply isn't fun. Like, genshin, hsr, wuwa and others had boring stories but the gameplay was fun enough at first to keep you going until you reach endgame and start wanting to roll for other characters to beat it, which makes you spend on characters, weapons, stamina refreshes, etc.
Endfield is boring as fuck from top to bottom, from the combat, menus, characters, music, story, etc. When you spend money on a real game you get the urge to at least play it a bit to see if it improves in mid game, but with endfield you can just uninstall without regrets.
>>
>>50607841
What do you do in that game anyway? It looks like it's a mess of stuff, is it an open world RPG or do you spend most of the time playing factorio? If the factory management stuff a large or small part and is it time limited in some way? Is it actually like a factory game or does it have random failures or anything dumb?
>>
>>50607915
The factorio stuff is a small portion, and they added blueprints so you can skip it if you want. On the overworld it serves to do some baby tier puzzles for chests. Other than that, you comb the map for chests like any other open world slop, spend 120 hours on the "story", and do the "hold attack until skill button lights up" combat.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>50608105
>>50608200
Is this about Endfield? I guess I'll try it now. Though I might not keep up with it if the gacha system is actually like what I've read.
>>
>>50608490
>>50608200 Is not about endfield. It's about the general word inflation of chink gatcha games over the last few years.
>>
>>50608200
>>50608293
People need to understand that a lot of games that use this "story-driven" euphemism actually have the characters speak gibberish for hours.
>>
>>50608981
I wish I could take thesauruses away from China so they stop naming everything insane things. Maybe not even just China but it seems like China in particular really stretches for unusual words to describe simple concepts. I also wish I could make Asia in general get over that asymmetry is a shortcut to cool designs thing.

>>
>>50609018

We the Great Chinese people are incapable of "show, don't tell". Our reality is shaped by words after all.

New Compass Cafe costumes will be added in late March for Thomas, Atari, Delmin and Milipoyu. However, these can only be obtained from actually visiting the cafe

Compass has updated with just some hero balancing today. Miku is on Sunday ready to make use of her conveniently timed buffs.
Jeanne:
>Attack modifier increased from 1.05 to 1.10
>Close range card cooldown reduced by 13%
>AoE card activation speed is 43% faster
>Defence modifier decreased from 0.95 to 0.80
Miku:
>AoE card activation speed is 15% faster
>Hero ability self healing increased from 1.5% to 1.6%
>Hero ability ally healing increased from 7.5% to 8.0%
>Fixed a bug with hit registration on the second normal attack
Rin:
>Close range card activation speed is 20% faster
>Barrage card activation speed is 47% faster
>Long range card activation speed is 9% faster
>Hero ability bonus charge speed increased by 32%
Len:
>AoE card activation speed is 18% faster
>Hero action activation speed is 0.2s faster
>Hero action healing increased from 6% to 7%
>Hero skill movement speed buff increased from 22% to 25%
>Hero skill now buffs Len's defence by 3x
Layer:
>Health modifier increased from 0.85 to 0.90
>Hero skill requires 6% less to charge
>Normal attack range increased by 7%
Ignis:
>Hero skill requires 11% less to charge
>Normal attack range increased by 7%
>Hero action width increased by 14%
Ainz:
>Hero skill requires 10% less to charge
>Hero skill defence buff modifier increased from 3x to 5x
>Hero action minimum charge time reduced by 0.4s
>Hero action maximum charge time reduced by 0.3s
>Hero action maximum distance increased by 4m
PopuPipi:
>Hero skill requires 15% less to charge
>Can no longer be knocked down, up or staggered when using their hero action (with some exceptions)
Richard:
>Attack modifier increased from 1.25 to 1.30
>Hero skill requires 5% less to charge
>Dash attack damage per stage increased by 4%, 3% and 6% respectively
>Defence modifier decreased from 0.90 to 0.70
>Health modifier decreased from 1.15 to 1.05
>Movement speed decreased by 3%
>Long range card activation speed is 10% slower
>Fixed a bug with long range attacks hitting after the visual effects had disappeared
Enkidu:
>Health modifier increased from 0.90 to 1.00
>Normal attack range increased by 1m
>Normal attack hitstop reduced by 17%
>Hero ability defence buff multiplier increased from 2.4x to 2.7x
>Hero action minimum charge time reduced by 0.3s
>Hero action maximum range increased by 8m
>Adjusted camera angles for normal attacks and hero action usage
Extremely questionable choice giving PopuPipi super armour, hopefully that will be reverted before too long.
Richard getting nerfed despite his low winrate is another choice. Any buffs to his dash attacks are just pissing in the wind so in the end he gets a bit more damage and HS charge in exchange for everything else.
The Ignis HA buff is pretty big and should make landing hits much easier. I should play him again as he's very fun.
>>
>>50618308
These Jeanne buffs trying to make her offesive are so random. Just let her be niche. Richard didn't need the changes, low winrate but still arguably fun to play and decent enough to be annoying means he was balanced. I'll always say that I think Enkidu is one those much more incredibly versatile heroes they've made so touching him is risky, give a small buff everywhere and he might be too strong.

Tfw dead before popular ones like ReZero and KonoSuba are added. I guess there will be an offline version gallery mode at least.

The gameplay and the gameplay loop are really meh desu. Pretty much non existent. Maybe they should have added some kind of town building mode instead of Figurine Collection.

Any music you guys particular like or are nostalgic for? This example is a bit older than mobile games so doesn't technically count but it's the same kind of thing having been a browser game.

Browser games are cheating because they're essentially PC games. Kancolle was great and I still listen to the home port when I want to feel nostalgic.
With that said, there surprisingly isn't for mobile games pre-genshin era, and even Genshin is technically a PC/console game.
In fact I'd get PTSD from most of them because of all the time wasted on them.

Posting about MMOs makes me remember how good Tree of Savior's music was. Has anyone played the mobile game since they went all in on it? Is it dead like the PC version? Why do all the characters seem to be hyper-lolified in that version? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2fFVe8xTfc
This mobile version track sounds pretty good

This is one of the tracks I liked best in the PC version, but this is from the mobile game collection to be on topic.

Yes... But it's still alive. Ai and Eri made not-so-recent appearances, Ryo is at 315 Production (a.k.a. SideM) but still affiliated with 876 and, again, there will be a "876 Production FES" featuring the Dearly Stars trio and the va-liv trio next month. It is still alive, unlike the gook branch...

The issue isn't getting mad at games where you can roll male. It's fine if you prefer your game gachas to be single-sex only. The issue is if you get angry if an NPC male shows up even for a millisecond. It's one thing to not want males to be included in gacha, it's another to want males not to exist in the series' universe at all.

No. The anime has some excellent thigh service but it's not a lewd game in any way.

the coof definitely didn't help. it was a franchise about idols, live performances were going to be a major part of it
but it's not the only reason. assault lily also came around that time, but they managed to put on stage plays and shows with audiences despite the restrictions
so it was probably mismanagement + investors pulling the plug too early
