What about them? Bidet toilets aren't exclusive to Japan.

Just a mat

Jodo Shinshu is better anyways

What I meant is that most Japanese don't really practice the religion outside of things like new year's. Also before important exams or job interviews.
Outside of those though, they don't really live their lives according to the doctrine.

Also quads.

if it wasn't for hiroyuki, and by extent japan, none of this would have ever existed. We owe him everything unironically.

Doubt

Kinda

How so? It's not like people glaze them or talk about them that much.
>>
>>50603968
A lot of these aren't exclusively Japanese things, hell stuff like hot springs and forest bathing are pretty scandinavian
That being said I would really like to get to enjoy a couple of hot springs in my lifetime

I enjoyed the Real School Uniform threads in which schoolgirl uniform otaku collected rare variant data like Pokemon and discussed the minutiae therein.

The thing I miss most about Japan is being able to buy caloriemates anywhere for 70 cents for a four pack.
I hate that there's no equivalent here.

You angered the Finns with this one, anon.

W-what about the girls?
>>
>>50629971
The Japanese girls have the image of being "pure" and "traditional".
Those types of girls are relatively rare in bigger cities and don't date gaijins anyway.
The types that usually date gaijins are relatively promiscuous, if you're looking for a hook-up that's fine, but they aren't that good for a long term relationship.
In other words: don't expect a miracle, they're just girls like almost everywhere else.
>>
>>50603968
and yet they aren't saved by Christ. Interesting.

The way I see saunas represented overseas makes me feel like many people are using it wrong.
Sauna is not supposed to be a comfy hot room to hang out in. You are supposed to get in naked (or swim trunks in public place, no towel), and within the first few minutes throw as much löyly as you can handle without the feeling of immediate burning of your skin, (a little bit on the ears is fine). It's supposed to feel like you are being steamed alive, which creates a pleasurable full body effect and feeling of release. After that, you gradually start feeling uncomfortable depending on your endurance, so you get out to shower/pool/lake to cool down, rinse and repeat a few times. If it's for socialization you can go for longer with less intense löyly but even then you typically start with a hard-hitting one.
I suspect that when it's a bunch of inexperienced people who don't know how to do it properly (especially in an overseas public place), they might be holding back too much out of social consideration, missing the entire best part and only getting the gradual uncomfortable feeling. Of course you might want to be considerate, but in general your body can handle more than you think. Also, if you aren't dripping wet (from sweat and steam condensing on you) you are doing it wrong.

I hear this often, but I don't really get what you expect, or what it would take for it to be considered real practice
>they don't really live their lives according to the doctrine
The most popular branch's doctrine is that nothing else matters so long as you trust Amida. You don't really have to do anything else. It doesn't seem unusual that it's only clear or public on important days and before important events
>>
people who read no scripture, do no works, never attend church, and barely ever pray still call themselves Christians here
pretty funny to see a population that regularly prays and gives offerings to ancestors, takes part in festivals, visits and donates to shrines, even setting them up at home, call itself Not Religious

Merely routine for them, not advertised as soul-saving nonsense.

Sounds neat for me
